Here, now, in the dark of night,
I feel as though I can no longer fight.
I can't breath, it hurts so much,
Even just the faintest touch.
Everything seems to happen so fast,
Yet even now, as moments past,
Horrible reality starts to settle in,
As your life starts to stretch out thin.
You take in one last breath,
And then are kissed by the face of death.
To save me, you gave up your life
And that rips at my heart like a jagged knife.
Why anyone would save someone like me
Is a hidden reason that I can't see.
Why you sacrificed yourself, I'll never know.
It hurts so much to see you go.
My only family, gone forever. Why?
I can't stand to say goodbye.
The one I care about most, there is no other
Who I can love more than you, my little brother.
