NOTES!: this is an AU. Kouji, Izumi, and Takuya are 15, Junpei is 15, and Tomoki is 13.

Part one:

"Urg! You're such an ungrateful JERK!"

Kouji continued to stare at him, unfazed. Takuya clenched his loved hand, angry, and then began to shake the dark haired youth by his shoulders. "Be ALIVE!"

"Don't touch me!" Kouji yelled, shoving Takuya away from him. "I all ready told you, I don't want you to touch me!"

"What the hell is you're problem!" Takuya yelled back. He stood up and dusted the dirt off his butt.

"You guys are so immature!" Izumi yelled, standing between the two of them. "Grow up! You're 15, for gods sakes!" She shot a dark look at both of them, and while Takuya cringed, Kouji didn't even blink.

The five of them where walking trough, what seemed to be, an endless desert. It was so hot that even Kouji had taken off his over coat, revealing the yellow t-shirt underneath it. Tomoki, Izumi, and Takuya where all now hatless, and using them as fans. Kouji, however, had kept his bandana on, claming it kept him cooler. Takuya had taken off his own jacket, and was using it to shade Tomoki. Junpei was complaining most of them all, moaning that he was much to hot in his jumper.

Kouji 'hn'ed, and crossed his arms, before turning and walking the direction that had been heading for days, with little food. He headed up a rather large hill made of sand, before stopping at the top.

Takuya grumbled and followed him to the top. He stopped when he reached the dark haired teen, and let out a 'YES!' of happiness.

"You guys!" The goggle boy yelled. "It's a town!"

"What!" Instantly the others where at his side, gazing down at the rather large market place in the middle of a down.

"Motto Bono!" Izumi squealed, before setting off toward the town. Tomoki and Junpei laughed as they ran after her, seconds later Takuya following behind them.

"Kouji…"

The dark haired boy's blue eyes widened as he spun around. He didn't see anything… had he imagined it?

"Kouji…"

The sand shifted, and spun around, in a small tornado. When it finally settled down, a woman stood before him. Her eyes glowed bright red, and Kouji's own blue ones went black. He began to walk slowly toward the strange woman…

Takuya spun around, to see Kouji disappearing from the top of the hill. His eyes narrowed, and he started back up, ready to chew the longhaired boy out again.

"KOUJI!"

The dark haired light child snapped out of it instantly at the sound of Takuya's angry voice. He looked over his shoulder at the goggle headed leader, whom stood atop the hill, arms crossed over his chest, and a look on his face like a mother about to scold her child for getting into the cookie jar.

Kouji then turned back to where the woman had been standing, only to find her gone. He blinked. Had he only imagined her? Shaking his head, he turned back to Takuya and the two of them walked to the village, silently.

It was late and, thankfully, they had found a place to stay (after completely stuffing themselves). They had even been so lucky as so score three rooms, one of which Izumi claimed for herself. They had drawn straws, and the end result as Tomoki and Junpei sharing the room with the larger bed, and Kouji and Takuya sharing a bed that was only meant for one person.

Takuya was asleep instantly, however Kouji was restless. He kept thinking about that woman… who in the world was she? How had she known his name? What did she want with him?

"Kouji…"

His eyes snapped open, wide, and he shot up like a rocket, not really caring if Takuya woke up. There she was… outside the window.

"Come here, Kouji… come to me…"

Her eyes glowed red from the shadows, and his went blank. Without knowing what he was doing, he stood, walking to the window. Takuya shifted from the loss of warmth, and opened his eyes. He watched as Kouji walked over to the window, and climbed out, without blinking once.

Takuya sat up, confused, and walked over to the window, not caring that he left his hat on the bed. He spotted Kouji standing before a strange looking woman, and pushed himself out the window.

"KOUJI!"

The blue eyes boy snapped back into reality once more at Takuya's voice, gasping at the woman. Her blood red eyes narrowed, and her claw like hands snapped out faster then lighting, grabbing Kouji's neck and lifting him about 17 inches off the ground.

He gasped, both out of shock and the fact that his hair supply was being cut off. He struggled, trying to kick the woman and claw at his her hands with his fingernails, however she didn't budge an inch.

"Hey! Let him go!"

The woman's head snapped to the side, catching sight of the approaching brown haired boy. Her eyes narrowed and the sand began to spin around her...

Izumi screamed out her window as the woman disappeared… but not before Takuya had reached her. He, along with Kouji, has also disappeared.

Takuya forced his eyes open. He felt like he was floating… and with one look of his surroundings, he found that he was.

The room…if it could be called that… was completely covered in blotches of colors that moved around each other like a kaleidoscope. It was all around him, up, down, right, and left. No matter where he looked, he couldn't escape it.

He also wasn't wearing an clothes… however it felt the same as when he spirit evolved.

"Kouji!" He called, looking around for any sign of the other boy. Then he spotted him…

His eyes widened as he floating forward. There was Kouji, floating, unconscious. He too, wasn't wearing anything, thought Takuya paid little attention to that fact. Instead Takuya blushed, for Kouji's hair had come undone from its normal ponytail, and floating around him like a blanket.

'I never realized just how LONG his hair is…' Takuya thought to himself, as he turned as red as an apple, staring at Kouji's peaceful sleeping face.

"Kouji!" The brown haired boy yelled, shaking the sleeping boy's body lightly. He frowned, for the boy was not waking. Takuya cradled Kouji like a baby, and continued to try to wake him.

"Do not disturb him."

The brunet gasped and looked around. He saw no one. Was him imagining it?

"Do not disturb his peaceful dream."

It happened so fast. He felt Kouji being ripped from his arms, and was pushed backward. The last thing he saw was the room disappearing into was seemed like the sky, and then…

SMACK!

His back had made hard contact with what felt like concrete. Several people where looking at him, but he just continued to stare up at the sky, hoping that the room would appear again. Kouji… he had to save Kouji… he had let that woman take him… he…

He was wearing clothes again.

Pushing himself up, Takuya realized that a bunch of people… as in humans… where staring at him. He was back in the normal world? But how had that happened? When had he come back here?

"Are you ok?"

The brown haired boy looked over his shoulder to see a boy that looked somewhat like him bent over to is level. The boy was dressed in a blue t-shirt that said "no-no" in katakana, thought still in English. His hair was a bit longer then Takuya's, and spiked up more then his. Around his neck he wore rounded goggles, and he was at least 15.

"I'm fine… but… where in the world am I?" Takuya asked, and the boy made a strange sound that reminded him of Izumi's giggles.

"You're in the middle of the street." The boy pointed out, a smile on his face. Honking made what he said clear, and Takuya blushed, standing up and walking with the boy over to the sidewalk.

The confused hat-wearing boy (although his hat was still on that bed…) turned to the other brunet. "I'm Takuya."

The other boy smiled once again. "My name is Takato."

A/N: Yeah, that whole 'don't wake him' thing is kind of like the sailor moon super s movie, thought I didn't mean for it to be… I can assure you, the woman is not going to say 'do not wake the sleeping child' at all… hehehe… Also… Takato's name also stands for the pairing of Takaru and Yamato o.O;; no offence to people whom like that pairing, but I just think that's a little funny… Also…Daisuke is the only goggle boy who's name doesn't start with 'ta.' Huh…
