*Melamin*
Legolas stood and offered his bow to Frodo, taking on all he dangers and hardships of the journey.
"No..." she whispered through the brush. Legolas turned hearing the whispered sound. She coward away, out of sight as Legolas tried to catch where she was going. He listened carefully as she disappeared out of sight.
As soon as the Council Meeting was over, he raced down to the ravine where she usually sat when upset.
"Dyonan," he called out into the wood, his arrows bouncing in his quiver as he searched. "Dyonan, melamin, I beg you listen. Manke naa lle?" There was no response except the trickling of the water downstream. Finding a stump near the waters edge, he sat down discouraged. Just then, a small light flickered and shone above, circling around his head. "Dyonan," he watched as she appeared to him, her wings rapidly disappearing into her back. Tears already in her eyes, streaking down her pale skin.
"Legolas," she buried herself into his chest. He wrapped his arms around her flowing white sleeves, trying his best to comfort her in the afternoon sun. "Let me go with you."
"I would never allow it, it's far too dangerous." Dyonan backed away aggravated.
"You will not allow me to accompany and help you, but you are willing to put yourself in danger's way? How could you do this to me? Not tell me? Let me find out like this? You…" The tears once again found her violet eyes. Taking his hand she enclosed a small, carved, silver pendant in his hand. "The source of all my energies." He looked down at the small chain.
"I cannot take this, you're powerless without it," he tried to hive it back to her.
"Legolas, you are my power, my strength," she looked up into his aquamarine eyes. "A'maelamin." Legolas brushed her soft pale cheek with such gentleness Dyonan could almost not feel it.
"Tessa sina. Tira ten' rashwe." Dyonan fell back into his chest and held him tightly. "Keep me with you." Legolas turned her head to look up at him, leaned down gently and met her soft lips with his, taking in her scent of lilies and lilacs. As they kissed a tear of sadness fell from her cheek to his. Opening his eyes he realized she was gone, fluttering away in a glimmer of light. Legolas looked down at the small pendant in his hand, a carved silver butterfly with a small body and large wings.
"Dyonan," he clenched it tightly staring off into the wood.
Fluttering furiously through the great wood, Dyonan fled thought the giant trees and flowers. Minute tears hanging on the air like water on a spider's web. Cornering one of the enormous oaks, she crashed into Bilbo. Kneeling over , Bilbo watched as she flashed into her more human form.
"Bilbo, he's leaving," she knelt down to embrace the small man. Seeing the tears in her eyes, he stroked her flowing brown hair.
"Who is leaving child?" he steadied himself on the soft earth..
"Legolas, he has joined the Fellowship, he has taking Frodo to Mordor," she sobbed quietly in the old hobbit's embrace.
"He will return Dyonan; he will come back for you." She looked into his wise old eyes and smiled hopefully.
"It's almost time for lunch dear, why don't you come back with me?" Bilbo raised his head as Dyonan stood up, towering over him.
"I need to be alone," she said wiping the sugary tears from her face. Then, in an instant she was fluttering away, towards Rivendell.
"Poor dear," Bilbo shook his head as he walked slowly towards the city. He took his time, taking in the grandness of the trees and the sounds of the birds and animals.
