By S_Star
Summary: A Draco POV poem in some AU where he's in love with Hermione.
Disclaimer: I'm flattered that my writing talent fooled you into thinking I'm JK Rowling, but I'm not. Yes, really! ^_~
Feedback: I need reviews like I need caffeine!
AN – I was lying in bed when I wrote this, and I was trying to rewrite my notes of 'One of Diamond, One of Stone' (PLEASE R & R!) when suddenly my thoughts all rhymed. Here's the end product…
She walks along, eyes down, head bowed,
A sense of purpose to her stride;
There's nothing I want more
Than to walk there by her side,
But that can never be:
I have my pride.
I used to hate her every breath
And curse her 'till she cried,
But all that hate has turned to lust…
I fight, or else I've tried.
For I can never fall:
I have my pride.
Every motion's so endearing,
It worms its way inside,
Pulling me towards her;
An ever-tugging tide.
But it's just not for me:
I have my pride.
She's beneath me in every way,
And the rules can't be defied
(The ones by which I've always
Been told I must abide).
I'll never give in to this:
I have my pride.
I see her stopping, sitting.
What now, I can't decide.
A few choice words, I turn and go,
Leaving her tears undried.
I'll run from this forever,
No matter how I feel:
I have my pride.
AN: I know it wasn't great, but still, please REVIEW!
