================================================================
So many kids are waiting in line for a simple ticket, holding a glove and a couple of tiny, plastic stars. Two, more precisely. This is sooo complicated, but it's essential, and it takes forever for a kid to be accepted by the men wering dark unifroms. Yuugi will be leaving with them on the huge boat, over there. Jou wants to join him. I want to join him. Honda wants to join us. We say we want to cheer Yugi, but we all have different reasons. Jou's there to win a money prize, says he wants to help his one-chan with an expensive eye operation. He asked himslef to be invited, wrote a letter to the headmaster. Honda is there because, he's always sticking around with us; I guess he ain't got no life. I am there ... to cheer Yuugi up, I guess. He says he'll be brave, takes brave stances and all, but he's been so down since his jisan left him. Or should I say, was taken from him.
That's why he's in that endless lineup. That's why I'm hiding among a bunch of luggage. A certain Pegasus, the american millionnaire who holds the power of the Millenium Eye, stole his soul and sealed Ojisan into a blank Duel Monsters Card. Yuugi hides so much sadness into his eyes; it makes me as sad as he is. I wished I could tell him before he goes away. He's not even aware of my presence here. Me and Honda agreed to hide out together on the boat until we reach Pegasus' Island. We would be stoaways, then legal visitors of the Island.
Only, I don't want to hang out with Honda anymore. He acts weird ... and I don't want to be alone by night with him. I don't want to be lost in a boy's universe for a week, or even more. If it weren't for Yuugi's sake, I wouldn't be dueling at all, and I wouldn't be here, now. Man, I can hear Honda snoring behind me. At last, I can see Yuugi climbing the metallic stairs to the luxuous boat, and so many younger kids standing waaay behind him. They're not even bishies, not even cute, only card playing, addicted geeks! I wonder how they'll act once on the sea. Playing Duel Monsters? Chatting and arguing inside their third-class, crowded rooms until the day comes? How am I gonna act once on the sea? Bargaining for intimity with that bum guy, Hiroto Honda?
Honestly, I'd rather share my intimity with Yuugi. Before he started to take that duelling thing seriously, (that was, almost one year ago), he was always so nice to people. And I, wasn't the girl I am being now, of course. I had a crush on Jou, and I so wished he'd notice me someday, like a virginal stupid little girl ... And so I kept hanging with him and Honda, until I became more important among the classmates, and used my influence more and more to protect Yuugi.
What a fool I was.
Someday, he came to see me at work, and rescued me. The point is, it wasn't him ... or was it, really? It sounds really strange, but since he wears that awful golden puzzle (that seems incredibely precious to him), he doesn't act the same. Personnaly, fragile boys like Yuugi don't dig me, but Yuugi has a dark side he hides from everyone, even from me. I think it's like, a tough side made of all the hatred and pain Yuugi felt in his whole life. And now that his only family was taken from him, that dark side is starting to take over little Yuugi, slowly. At least, I think. I think it makes sense; Yuugi's parents have been absent most of his life, and the only one to give him hope was jisan. Until he was taken away, of course. I looked so dumb when I tried to warn the police. From now on, I'll do things by myself. And I intend to tell you my true feelings.

A tall woman with long, blonde hair stood in line, aperently busy doing ... nothing. She simply stood there, thinking. She'd have to hang around by herself, with infant boys duellists, tolerating their "Hello babe. Wanna meet my Dark Magician?" or even worse, "Women like you aren't good duellists". Hush, you stinky little boys.
Women are far better in any way that you can be. Unfortunately for Mai, all the other (few) girls that made their way to tournaments were terribly skilled, and sometimes aggressive, or distant. Only a couple of them could get to know Mai ... better. And they never regretted it. Hahaha! Who woul guess that Kujaku Mai, the great Duellist that every men wants to get their hands on, won't meet their expectations?
Mai had enough. The sooner on the boat, the sooner I get the money prize, thought Main. "You, over here", she said, pointing at an employee. Of course, she had her hair fluttering in the wind when he turned to see her face. My, my, what a cheap trick. Cheap, but effective; the man came to her right away. "Is there any way..." "You can help me, cutie?" She smiled with an seducive smirk. "I would like to get on board as soon as possible ... it's deadly cold in here!", she added, revealing her tight clothes, clutching her left leg to the other. The man was embarassed, obviously didn't know what to say. He felt bad leaving her all alone in the wind, and she had so nice hair. Maybe he could do something about it.
"Let me GOOO !!!"
The deal was interrupted by a female voice rising among the crowd. A teenage girl with red hair was being held firmly by two male employees, protesting, claiming to be a duelist, too. Mai was left by the employee "who'd come back in a second", as he said. Now what, would her plans be ruined by an idiotic girl?
Girl ...
