I would just like to say one thing though. When Harry goes into Remus's mind, he is NOT in his Animagus form. The reason he is a wolf is that he is in the mind of a wolf, and the only way he can exist in there is in the form of a wolf. I hope that clears up any confusion.
I would like to say a huge, enornmous, great, whopping thank you to everyone who reviewed this story. Your comments and encouragement has meant a lot to me!
Disclaimer: I own nothing, except the story's basic concept.

Remus awoke to pain. Sharp needles of pain were jabbing into every part of his body. And there was a warm weight nestled against his left side. He opened his eyes, wincing as the sunlight poured in. He looked down. Harry was snuggled in against him, a contented smile on his face. What was he doing here? What happened to the wolf? How could Harry be here? In the deep recesses of his mind, Remus felt the wolf stir.
Remus took a deep breath and, closing his eyes, allowed himself to sink into his subconscious. He opened his eyes. Shiny black marble met his gaze as he surveyed the familiar rooms and corridors of his mind. The wolf strode forwards out of the shadows. Remus tensed. He was not going to allow the beast to hurt Harry!
The wolf looked at him imperiously, tawny eyes seeming to see right through him, right through to his very soul. It stared, stared long, body relaxed, temper calm. Then it seemed to realize that Remus didn't understand, couldn't comprehend what it was doing or why.
The wolf turned gracefully and concentrated at the far wall. An image slowly began to form. Remus squinted at it as it gradually became the image of a person. A person with untidy black hair, brilliant green eyes and a lightning scar. Remus blinked in surprise and stared at the normally savage wolf, who returned its gaze to him. Remus read the love in those wild eyes. He saw the beauty in the untameable depths. He gasped. "You've accepted him!"
The wolf nodded and sank back into the shadows. Remus smiled. Who said you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks? He relaxed and drifted back to the real world.
He sat up, groaning at the aches he knew would plague him for a long time to come. He stretched and twisted to wake Harry. His newly adopted pack 'son' opened his eyes blearily and looked around. His eyes widened as they rested on Remus.
"Professor Lupin, you changed and..."
Remus raised his hands, smiling, "It's alright Harry, I know. I must say, it is a relief to know that I won't rip you apart when I Change now."
Harry grinned and stood up, reaching down to help Remus up. Remus put his arm around Harry's shoulders and they began to limp slowly down the passage together. Remus leaned down to whisper in Harry's ear, "I think, in the circumstances Harry, you should call me Remus."
And with that, the two left the Whomping Willow, ready to begin their new life together with the days of painful recovery in the hospital wing.

Well, here it ends. Thanks again to my reviewers and a big apology to those who wanted a longer story.
Should I write a sequel? Please tell me. I have low self-esteem.
