Chapter 6: Evil Is Cleansed Away By Acceptance
Akasha learned quickly that to take responsibility for your actions and accepting your punishments is how you are forgiven. That was the difference with her father and the other men that Connor and Murphy had killed. They did evil things, but never accepted and took responsibility for it. She did. She told the truth and accepted that she would be placed in a juvenile detention facility until 18 at which time she would be placed in prison for life without parole. In the back of her mind, Akasha would of just of liked to of been shot dead, but she understood that it was more of the fact that the brothers couldn't bring themselves to killing a child then anything else. She felt it was a bit hypocritical, but then again everyone is at moment or another in his or life. So there she lay. Starring up at the ceiling of her small quarters thinking about her father and Liza. She missed them both terribly. Her eyes shut as she fell asleep. No longer dreaming about anything. Just darkness.
Murphy sat on the plane watching the in-flight movie. It was a cheesy romance film that he had never seen before. Connor was reading a book that he had bought a few days earlier. It was called The Butcher Boy. Murphy laughed to himself. He must have seen that movie a hundred times. Stretching he went back to watching the movie until it finally bored him so much that he fell asleep.
Connor had been trying to read, but Murphy's light snoring kept breaking his concentration. Finally he closed his book and smacked it over his brother's head. It woke his twin up with a startle as he looked around to see what had waked him.
"You mother fucker!" said Murphy as he Connor got of the plane are located their belongings.
"Well, that's what you get for snoring so fuckin' loud." replied Connor as he looked around for their father. Once he spotted him both brothers made their way over.
Il Duce took a look at his sons. They had called him a couple of days earlier and told him what had happened with the Petrova girl and how they handled it. He was proud of their decision and couldn't think of better one that could have been made. Together they filed into the car as he drove them home. They talked about a million different things, but none had anything to do with what happened in Boston and all three were happy about that. Things finally seem to be going back to normal, thought Murphy to himself as he looked out of the car window at the beautiful sight before him. He was home and couldn't think of better place to be in the entire world.

Chapter 6: Sister Saint
Smecker walked into his office to see a woman with strawberry blonde hair sitting in the chair across from his desk. It was Mrs. Petrova. Akasha's mother. Smecker sat down across from her. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying and Smecker knew why. Her daughter was missing. Smecker wanted to tell her that everything was okay and that Akasha was safe, but he knew he couldn't. He remembered all of what happened. Hard to believe that it was only a mere 7 days ago.
Akasha lay limp against Smecker as the brothers sat down near them and think about what they needed to do. Both Connor and Murphy were confused, but they both seemed to come up with the same conclusion. Akasha needed to be in an environment where she could grow up around beauty and not death. They thought about maybe finding a way to send her back to Russia since she seemed to miss it so much, but they knew that things were not going to be much better for her there. And then a new idea seemed to spring into Murphy's head. Why not take her with them?
Connor smiled once his brother told him about bringing Akasha with them to Ireland. It was far enough away from the mob and she'd be living on the outskirts of Belfast. A nice country home away from such a hectic city life is what she needed. Connor agreed and let Smecker in on their plan. He was reluctant at first, but he soon saw that it was the thing they could really do if they wanted to help Akasha.
A few days later Akasha had packed a luggage with some cherished belongings and clothing before heading to school. Her bag was placed under her bed as she promised Murphy it would be. Once Akasha was at school and her Mother out shopping, Murphy entered the house using Akasha's keys and got her luggage. He quickly left the house and made his way back to Smecker's place.
Connor, on the other hand, was parked in front of a church, which was located right across from Akasha's school. Once school was dismissed a horde of girls made their way out of the building as they flooded the streets. Akasha walked across the street and into the church. Connor was waiting in the car for about 20 minutes before Akasha came back out. The streets were now empty of people, just as Akasha had wanted. She slipped quickly into the backseat of car and lay down in the seat hoping no one would see her. Her wish was grated as Connor parked the car into the parking lot of an old abandon building. He and Akasha made their way out of the car and into another one. This time both Akasha and Connor were in the backseat as detective Greenly and Duffy drove them to Smecker's place. It was there that Akasha changed into pjs and fell asleep. She had a big day tomorrow.
At five in the morning, Connor and Murphy woke Akasha from her sleep and got her to take a shower and get changed. The three of them took a taxi to the airport and then filed onto the plane that would be taking them to Ireland. Akasha felt nervous as she sat there waiting for the plane to take off. She still couldn't believe that she was doing this, but she so badly wanted to be away from those dark things that she was so unfortunately accustomed to.
"Have you found anything out about my daughter, Mr. Smecker?" asked Mrs. Petrova. Her voice was enough to bring Smecker out of his trance.
"I'm not in charge of missing people, Mrs. Petrova. I'm not sure why you came to me about her," he replied.
"I came to you, sir, because you told me if ever I needed anything to just ask, and so I'm asking if you know anything about my daughter's case."
"I understand, but I'm sorry there isn't anything I know except that the people in charge of it are doing everything they can to find her," said Smecker as he bit his bottom lip in frustration. He wanted so bad to tell her, but she'd never understand that this really was best for Akasha. Besides, Akasha said she'd call her mother once she was settled. He knew she'd call any day now and so his guilty feelings son passed.
The cool breeze swooped down and lightly played with her hair. Akasha sat on a small swinging porch bench and watched the sun setting. It was starting to get rather cold as the last day of November was finally reaching its end. She would start school in a little less then two weeks. Everyone thought it best that she get settled down before being enrolled. It was a nice school and she had already started to make friends with a nice group of girls her age that lived near her. They also happened to go to the same school as her. Her light blue dress and matching unbuttoned sweater were flapping in the wind as she stood up. A car was making its way toward the house.
A rusty red pick-up truck parked in front of the house as two men walked towards her. It was Connor and Murphy McManus. She gave them a soft smile as they made their way over to her. Yes these were the men who killed her father, but she finally understood that the side of her father that she loved wasn't her father at all, but a fake. He killed innocent people and made her life dark and depressing for her. Even when he was dead he managed to ruin in her life somehow. She had turned into him for a brief moment when she killed the Gurlukovich family, but she wasn't going to think on that anymore. She had a new life a head of her and Akasha wasn't going to mess it up this time around.
"Hey there kiddo," said Murphy giving her a quick hug.
"Akasha, dear?" said a voice.
Akasha spun around to face the boys' mother, Mrs. McManus. She gave her a quick smile as well before answering her, "Yeah?"
"It's getting cold out here so hurry up inside," replied the older woman. She was always so polite and kind to Akasha. Always making her feel welcomed.
"Okay then."
Everyone walked into the house and sat around the small dinner table. Connor and Murphy had moved out of their parents home and into an apartment. Akasha had moved into Connor and Murphy's old bedroom and for the first time ever they noticed how big it was when there was only one bed placed inside.
"We got a call form Smecker today, 'Kasha," said Murphy while eating a spoon full of fluffy mashed potatoes.
"What about?" she asked giving him her full attention.
"Just wanted you to remember to call your mother and let her in on everything," replied Connor.
Akasha nodded and went back to eating as the conversation quickly changed thanks to Il Duce. He was talking about something that had happened at the bar he usually visited before coming everyday. There was another fight and everyone burst into laughter as he told that one of the people involved had poked the other guy in the eye. Even after the laughing died down, Akasha couldn't help, but keep a smile on her face.
Akasha climbed into bed a few hours later and called her mother. They talked for almost an hour and Akasha explained everything to her, and how she'd come see her during the summer. They both knew things would be okay and that this was truly best for Akasha, and so after swearing that she wouldn't tell her brother, Akasha's mother hung up the phone. A soft and chilly breeze crept into Akasha's room and she climbed back out of bed went to shut the window. Before she did, however, her eyes looked out to the starry sky above. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen as the cold wind whipped at her hair. Even though her face became cold and her skin crawled with goose bumps she couldn't help, but feel a warmth inside of her that she had never felt before. Closing her eyes, Akasha could feel Liza next to her smiling. A single tear streamed down her face and more then anything she wished that she could share this moment with her, but she couldn't. All she could do was pray for forgiveness as she took one last look up at the glowing night sky.

I liked the alternate ending better...how about you? Okay well look out for my Ender's Game fiction and MAYBE a Harry Potter fiction. I'm not sure about that. Definitely look for a Tygress fiction.
