Spoilers: Answered Prayers
Author'snotes: After all the missing scene fics, I had to try my hand at one. This is what came out. It's set just after 'Answered Prayers', when Harm is reunited with his brother, Sergei.
North of Union Station
Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. looked at the sleeping form of his brother on the couch. A smile graced Sergei's lips as he rolled over, and Harm smiled as well. He picked up the phone and walked to his bedroom, so he would not disturb his brother. Then he dialed the number.
The phone rang three times before it was answered.
"Webb," a sleepy voice said on the other end.
"Clay, it's Harm."
"You better have a good reason for calling me at this hour," Webb replied grumpily.
"I do," Harm said. "Clay, about what you did -"
The spook interrupted him immediately. "Rabb, don't start. Just enjoy your Christmas, will you?"
Harm pointedly ignored him. "Thank you, Clay. For everything you did for Sergei. I mean it."
"Stuff it, Rabb," Webb said, but Harm could detect a hint of a smile in his voice."
"I owe you one, Clay. Enjoy your Christmas, okay?"
"Get some sleep, Harm," Clay responded.
"Good night, Clay."
"Good night," Webb responded, and hung up.
Great Falls, Virginia
Clayton Webb stared at his phone after he hung up. Then he allowed himself a small smile before punching his pillow into shape and rolling over. He switched off the light and went back to sleep.
