Realization, over Coffee

As Severus sat in her sunny kitchen that morning, he suddenly realized how domestic the scene was. He, watching her, while she hummed and cooked breakfast, hair sleep-mussed and tangled.

When Hermione smiled and placed a cup of dark coffee before him, he also realized how used he could become to such a scene.

"What?" she asked, noticing his intense gaze.

His eyes caught hers but he simply answered, "Cream."

"Pardon?" she blinked.

"For my coffee," he explained gruffly.

"Oh, There is none," she apologized.

"Then, purchase some…for tomorrow…"

She smiled, understanding what he meant behind his words.

"I will."
