No characters belong to me. The thoughts, however are mine alone. No profit made, no harm intended.

Have I ever thought of Fatherhood? Oh, sure I have. Yes.

When I was a boy, my notion was to be a father like my father. In adolescence, I thought of nothing but escaping it. As a young Starfleet officer, first I thought, "maybe" and then, "someday". In the Maquis, I had painful, sporadic regrets. I didn't think on it in the Delta Quadrant, Seska fiasco excluded. Fatherhood was impossible.

Today, Tom Paris, as I sit here, beside your proud figure, looking into the solemn eyes of my B'Elanna's little Miral, I truly wish your baby girl belonged to me.
