Chapter 1 - Intro
From the first day she saved Dan from being beaten up by Billy the Bully in Miss Counting's grade four class, kids began to tease Grace non-stop. Mostly it was Billy and his friends, but there were a few other boys who thought she was just a wimpy girl like all the others.
She was forced to prove them all wrong, but would Billy and the rest of his stubborn friends leave her alone? Of course not; they enjoyed giving her a hard time.
After school everyday, she would face Billy and his friends in the playground, the first place she fought Billy, trying to help Dan. She often lost at first because Billy and his friends would all gang up on her. She couldn't beat all six of them and so she lost.
A few weeks after the first time Billy and his friends beat her up, she began to take lessons in self defence. She worked hard and slowly, over time, she became an excellent fighter in the art of self defence.
The first day of grade five, she fought the bullies and beat them. She had hidden all of her strength and power from them for about a year and surprised them when they went after her. They began to back down at last and when she was in grade six, they bothered her no longer.
When she entered high school, with top grades and awards, things were about to change. She didn't know at first, or maybe she did and didn't want to face it. At any rate, things were changing and they were out of her control.
