For Valentine's Day
Forever Parallel
She knows he's too old for her,
He's aware of the fact, that she's a lot younger than she should be.
Her conscience keeps telling her that it's against regulations; to feel attracted to a man
whose command you work under,
He wants to throw it all away, just to touch her skin, and let the heat radiate towards
him welcomingly.
She can't stop loving him,
He refuses to stop loving her.
The voices inside her head try to resurface,
The voices in his head don't stand a chance.
If there were a million different stars in the sky, she would pluck herself from them, and
be lost in him forever,
He keeps telling her, that she can't leave her job.
She's getting older, an wiser, and realising the there isn't a happy ever after,
He hopes that he can save her one last time.
So, she sits back,
He leans against the wall,
Her back presses quietly into his embrace,
His arms come around her, his chin leaning on her shoulder.
She takes in the air around her,
He stops breathing enough to place a kiss on her neck.
Completely
Utterly
In Love.
"You said forever."
"Forever and a day."
