The Son's of Father's Sins
You know what the best thing about my brother is? Sunday. Sunday is a word that reminds me of waffels, because nii-sama always cooks them on Sunday, with wipped cream and blueberries, or strawberries. He never works Sunday morning, because it's my time, he even calls it "Mokuba Time" and we do anything I want to. But before breakfast, before waffels, when I'm supposed to be asleep early in the morning, my brother dances. He doesn't dance graceful, like Anzu, but broken... I was very young when I discovered the beauty of broken things.

"Can I have a doll?"
"Only girls want dolls, Mokuba," the man replied harshly. The little boy looked up with large eyes, pleading, but the man didn't respond to the puppy dog eyes. Another boy, only a couple years older was standing nearby, a bit of violet tinged the skin under his right eye, like someone had cuffed him, but he seemed perfectly fine with the company he was keeping.
"Otou-sama, can I have a doll?" the older boy asked softly. The man picked up one of the display dolls and hit the boy across the face.
"Don't be such a girl, Seto," the older boy nodded, the doll's face was cracked and his face smarted and reddened. But the doll was broken, so Gozaburo had to buy it. Mokuba had been confused at the time, Seto seemed so content, on their way home he even obeyed Gozaburo. It was later that night that Mokuba understand.
"Mokuba?" Seto crept into the room, shaking his brother awake.
"Nani? Nii-sama?" Seto pressed something into Mokuba's hands.
"I'm sorry it's broken, but just think of it as beautiful," and then Seto gave him a hug and crept out. Mokuba looked down, a doll, her face acked right below her left eye. She was broken. She was beautiful.

Have you ever seen a tiger dance? If I could, I imagine it would look like nii-sama, so graceful, ready, and something sad about it. Nii-sama always has the saddest eyes, because he's broken and no one can see that he's beautiful.

"Who would have thought, you're great with children, Kaiba-kun," Yuugi giggled from behind the taller boy. Seto was holding the small child tenderly, looking around to make a mental count on the other five. For school they had to do community service and he and Yuugi had been paired with babysitting for the poor.
"Hn," was the response, once the child had fallen asleep Seto replaced it with another child, the first safely tucked into a crib.
"Ever considered what you're going to do with your life? Like a family, with children?"
"I don't ever want children," came the flat answer.
"Why not? You're great with them," Yuugi commented, gathering up a child to hold himself. Seto got a far away look in his eyes as he stared at the wall.
"Let's just finish this," I don't ever want children...

"Do you know what love is, Seto?" tears blurred his face, he only saw the dark and only felt the cold. Gozaburo always made it cold, and painful.
"I-iie..." he mumbled back, lips swollen.
"Love is power," Hands clenched around his bruised hips, "Love is a tool,"
"h-hai..." he agreed, he had too.
"Do you know what children are, Seto?" a kiss accompanied the words, a kiss to the back of his neck. He hated kisses to the back of his neck.
"what are they?" he was afraid to ask.
"Children are a way to spread your ways. They will inherit your world, so you must train them to obey, right, Seto?" the fingers tightened.
"Hai...."
