~Songfic

A.N.~ Hey, here's yet another one of my song fics. At first I couldn't decide whether to write T/P or T/M for this one. Personally I like T/P, but I wanted to do something for both. So this one will be a T/M and then I'm going to write another one later for T/P, probably with a different song unless everyone wants me to just use the same one. But it would probably turn out better to use a different one. One more note is I've still not seen GT so if anything is a little off that could be it. Anyway, I hope you like this, it is the first time I have ever tried to write a couple fic for one of the possible couples, so I hope it is ok.

Marron had been shopping most of the day. Trunks had been gone on a business trip for the last few months and to celebrate him coming home his parents were throwing him a big party, tonight. She had to go shopping and find the perfect dress. After countless hours of trying on dresses she finally found just the right one. Now she had to get home and get ready for the party. She was walking through the crowd quickly to find a spot where it would be safe to take off and fly. Memories flooded her mind as she walked on, she was barely even paying attention anymore to where she was going.

Staring blankly ahead

She was thinking of how Trunks probably looked now, and if he would even recognize her when he saw her when she ran right into someone. She looked up to mumble her apology, and to her surprise came face to face with the one she had been thinking about, Trunks! Marron's breath caught in her throat as she tried to say hello. "Umm, I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." Trunks mumbled before walking off. Marron tried to stop him, but couldn't seem to say anything. 'He didn't even recognize me, have I really changed that much? Maybe he's just tired from his trip.' Marron thought before walking away. 'I better hurry or I'll be late for the party.' She decided and ducked into an alleyway and took off in flight.

'I've missed him so much. I'm glad he's finally back!' She thought as she flew. 'And he looks even better now than he did before he left.' Marron had been thinking about her encounter with Trunks so much that she barely realized she was running out of time. 'Oh, I better hurry, I can think about all of this later.' She thought before powering up to go faster. 'I can't be late. I have to see him tonight!"

Marron had finally gotten home and was getting herself ready when thoughts of Trunks came back to her memory. 'Silly girl, you better stop daydreaming.' She scolded herself. She stopped what she was doing as a thought occurred to her. "Does he ever think of me as much as I do him. I really think about him a lot." She blushed as she actually thought about what she was saying and shook it off to continue getting ready.

Marron was finally ready and at Trunks' house, and with minutes to spare. She checked herself over one more time before knocking on the door lightly. Bra answered the door with Goten right behind her. "Hi." Marron said shyly.

Bra smiled, "Hi Marron, you look great, come on in." She said moving out of the way to let the other girl in.

Goten smiled, "Hi Marron."

"Hi Goten, I'm surprised you haven't already been after the food." Marron said.

"Well, I tried, but my mom and Bulma banned all of the saiyans from the kitchen until the party could get started." He said disappointedly.

Both girls giggled. And then Trunks came walking into the room. "Hey, big brother, coming to join us?" Bra asked.

Trunks rolled his eyes at being called 'big brother', but came over anyway. When he saw Marron he couldn't figure out who she was at first when she turned around to look at him it hit him. "Marron? Is that you?" He asked unbelieving.

Marron smiled and blushed. "Yes, hi Trunks."

Trunks smiled, 'Wow, I have been gone a while. Marron looks great.' "Hi. You look really nice Marron."

Marron blushed even redder, if that was possible, "Thank you Trunks, you look great too."

Marron had been trying to play it cool the whole night. She really wanted to dance with Trunks, but she didn't ask yet. Then she looked up and saw Trunks walking right towards her. "Well, now that I'm done with the social obligations I can finally come see one of my friends." He said as he got to her table.

"Really, well have a seat." She said gesturing to a seat beside her.

"Actually, I was wondering if you would like to dance. You've been sitting here alone almost the whole night." He said as he reached his hand out to her.

She smiled, "I would love to." She took his hand and he led her to the dance floor. They had danced for a long time when a slow song that was one of Marron's favorites started to play. She leaned her head on Trunks' shoulder right when the song was getting ready to end Trunks stopped and Marron picked up her head and looked in his eyes. "I really missed you Marron." He said before leaning in to kiss her. Marron closed her eyes in expectation, waiting for the moment she had wanted for so long.

"Miss, excuse me, miss." A woman waved a hand in front of Marron's eyes and she came out of her reverie. She looked around for a moment, had she really just been dreaming? It had seemed so real, she wished it had been real. Marron looked at the woman in front of her, "I'm sorry, did you have to ask me something?"

"No, I was just making sure you were ok, you've been standing in that same spot for nearly 20 minutes now. Are you alright?" The woman asked concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine, thank you." Marron mumbled before what the other woman had said sunk in. "Twenty minutes, oh no, I'm really going to be late!" She said as she took off in the direction of home running through the crowd.

Marron arrived at home and hurried into the house to get ready. She was running around in her room like a mad woman until she was finally through and walked to the door to leave. She turned and glanced one more time at the mirror, took a deep breath, and walked out the door. "I hope this turn out like the dream." She mumbled.

Here she was, it was like déjà vu. She was knocking on the door lightly again. And Bra opened the door. "Hi Marron, looking good, come in." She said and Marron smiled and came in. Goten was standing right behind Bra and also turned to greet Marron. They stood talking for a few minutes when Trunks came walking in. Only this time unlike in her dream he just walked on by. Marron stood disappointed, 'Well, it was almost like my dream."

Marron sat at the table wishing Trunks would come over. But he was talking to some other people she didn't recognize. She sighed and was near tears. 'He hasn't even noticed me, he must not have missed me.' She thought as she got up, deciding to leave, she had had enough. She was on her way to the door when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Expecting it to be Goten. She replied, "I'm getting a little tired, Goten, I think I'm just going to go home."

"Well, that would be fine, but I'm not Goten." Marron raised her head in recognition of the voice and turned to look at the man behind her. "Trunks?"

"I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to talk to you before. Can I make it up to you with a dance, Marron?" Trunks asked with his hand stretched out to her, just like the Trunks in her dream.

"Yes." She said as she took his hand, and let him lead her back to the dance floor. When they found there place on the floor the same slow song that had been playing in Marron's dream started to play. She lay her head on his shoulder and was lost in the moment until the end of the song came and Trunks whispered in her ear, "I really missed you a lot Marron." Marron lifted her head and smiled. "I missed you too." Then Trunks leaned in for the kiss Marron had been waiting for all night. There lips met and Marron didn't wake up this time so she knew it wasn't a dream. 'This is one night I'll never forget. And it was even better than my dream.'
