Snow in autumn

Disclaimer: Don’t own ‘em.

Author’s notes: Things may be fuzzy at the beginning but I’ll soon clear them up. Enjoy.

. . . My spirit’s sleeping somewhere cold

Until you find it there and bring it back home

(Wake me up)

Wake me up inside

(Can’t wake up)

Wake me up inside

(Save me)

Call my name and save me from the dark

(Wake me up)

Bid my blood to run before I come undone

(Save me)

Save me from the nothing I’ve become . . .

-Evanescence, "Bring me to life".

Prologue

Hi. I’m Tsukishiro Yukito.

I’m an orphan and two old people adopted me. Don’t expect anything normal.

I woke up one morning. When I was 12, I saw my ‘grandparents’ making a deal with this thug and gave him money so he could get the job done. My life’s changed ever since.

I always had a good aim. I always won competitions involving my hitting the target. My grandfather said what I would be doing would be for good and not for evil. I was naive enough to believe it. I killed evil but my nightmares didn’t stop.

Sometimes it was the families of the dead accusing me or just the dead alone. I had dreams seldom but still . . . the guilt hung over me like a coat. I don’t know why I often went to see the funerals of he dead because it just increased the agony. I knew the innocent hands of a 16-year-old had become bloody.

I still tried to be warm and friendly like I was but after what I had seen, it became a lot harder.

I would cry myself to sleep sometimes or just not care. I never told this to anyone, not even Toya, my best friend. I was afraid he wouldn’t accept me after that. I knew no one could.

Akizuki Nakuru never liked me, I was afraid she never would.

Though, we never really talked, we trusted each other after one night that changed it all. I feel warmth in her arms, it feels lovely to be accepted for who you are.

You’ll know everything eventually.
