Hey guys. I'm so sorry this took so long and I am so appreciative of the reviews I have received asking for this story to be continued. I had a real writers block with this chapter so it's not great. But I promise to make it up with the next chapter. :: evil grin ::

Summery: Two kingdoms. Two princes and the forbidden love of two that was never meant to be.
Chapter 1.
Mirkwood was in all it's splendor as always. However today servants flitted about the kingdom dressing it for the celebration to be held the following day. Banners of green and silver had been strung up at strategic points throughout the streets and residents of Mirkwood had begun to feel the excitement that vibrated throughout the kingdom. A celebration such as this had not been held for over 1000 years, and, on this particular occasion, the one the feast was to held in honor of was the crown prince of Mirkwood and the only heir to the throne. However the Prince was less than enthusiastic about the feast and as a result he was seen less by the residents of Mirkwood, spending day after day in Mirkwood's forests, alone, rather than preparing for the celebration like he should have.
The prince of Mirkwood was not only renound for his beauty, but also for his stubbornness and no matter how stubborn his father was the prince was ten times worse. So try as he might the King was never able to persuade the prince to do as he was told. It was this exact reason why the king worried for his son's future. He was quite sure his son would marry should he be asked but it would never be for his own happiness. He would do it purely for the good of his kingdom and his father feared for his son's happiness. He had tried to meet his son in the middle with this feast. So rather than forcing an arranged marriage upon him he gave his son some freedom in his choice. But even this did not please the young prince. He was not a selfish person. Indeed he was quite the opposite but in matters of the heart the prince had made it quite clear that it was to be his decision. So when his father began to interfere the prince would have no part of it.
That day was no different and the king of Mirkwood watched as his son rode the white stallion out of Mirkwood's gates. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he turned from the window.
"I know I know. But it is something that must be done. Had he not left it so late he would not be in such a situation" and with those words he strode from the room leaving his wife speechless, her beautiful face softened with sadness for her son. She knew it was always going to be this way.
The trio rode soundlessly through the forest they had come upon only hours before hand. The wood which had seemed so inviting at the border was becoming increasingly darker and thicker, closing in on them with every step further into the woods.
"Well it seems we have stumbled into Mirkwood's forest" sighed Elladan as he narrowed his eyes glancing into the darkened woods.
"And you chose to point this out now" said Elrohir in a furious whisper.
"Hush Elrohir, you will only case us more problems. For now let us find our way out." Came Estel's calm voice, seeming to enjoy the ride through the woods. But then again that was just in Estel's persona.
"Nay Estel" sighed Elladan again "there is no way out but to continue to go forward. These woods begin to clear closer to Mirkwood's kingdom. They become more open and majestic"
"Indeed" chimed in Elrohir "they are like this to trap those who wander into these woods. We are lucky guards have not caught us yet. We would be killed on the spot if they find us in these woods"
"Yet we continue to ride towards the kingdom that we have been banned to enter by father and are close to war with" questioned Estel, his tone thick with sarcasm " yes I can see the point in that"
The twins just continued on, and silence fell upon the group once again as the horses pushed ever onwards. Hours later the three had begun to tire and were in desperate need of rest. Yet it was far too dangerous to stop in these woods during daylight. They would surely be caught by guards if they were to stop so their only chance was to wait for nightfall.
Despite the lack of visibility the group had began to notice the fall of night and decided that to push on would be ridiculous, so the group found an area to rest and before long each had fallen asleep praying that they would not awake the next day in a dungeon cell.
With morning was to come new beginnings for two. And with the fall of evening the hate of two kingdoms would be fueled by the love born from hate.
Ok second chapter! Yay. I'm sorry it so short. This is just so hard for me to write. Anyway I promise next chapter will be better, Aragorn and Legolas meet and legolas' past will be explained in more detail. Please review. Flames will be completely ignored so I suggest you save your breath.
