You can't believe she still hasn't picked up on the signs, after all the time you've known each other. She obviously doesn't realize that Paris Geller doesn't compliment just anyone and that if she's been graced with some it must mean something. But she does not. For someone so smart, she sure can be stupid. It's moment like these you can't understand why you like her in the first place. You have high requirments for people you like. they need to be smart- not just smart, but supersmart. Rory is smart, Paris thought at first, reading her transcripts and seeing her grades, but now youstart to doubt yourself. Is she really so smart if she can't even see? And she's so innocent and cutesy, and so...nice. Friendly. How does she do it? She doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her; she's so optimistic it could make you barf (if you ate a whole bag of Cheetos while watching All My Children earlier, but really, why would you do that? You're not stupid, Paris).You're not stupid, Paris, which means that if you like her there must be a reason, after all. There must be a reason why you hope, and watch her, even as she eats lunch alone, reading a book and listening to music and ignoring everyone else around her. You don't like to watch people eat, but with her it's okay. You torture yourself, watching her kiss her boyfriend(s), talking to him about her. Yet you keep doing it. You're smarter than that, Paris. There must be a reason why. Maybe it's because she's the only person you can talk to books about (you tried with Louise, but all she says is, "I've never read it, but it sounds really cool. Maybe after my date."). Maybe it's because she's so pretty. Or because she listens to you and talks to you and... is that it, Paris? Do you just want some attention? How about, it's all those reasons? Or none of them. You just like her, plain and simple. Don't try to cover it up with exucses and whatever you do, don't deny it.
