Title – The Worlds a Better Place

Author – Duckys_dream

Disclaimer - FOX, Chris Carter, and 1013 productions own The X-Files and all its characters and episodes, all rights reserved. This story was written without their permission

Spoilers – Small ones for Pilot, Hollywood AD, Requiem and Within. But the main thing is that I’ve rewritten a lot of the eighth and ninth season. Rating – PG for some language

Summary – Mostly the interaction of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, there is an episode contained here as well, sort of.

AN – I don't know how to make an episode of the XF, I have no idea what's involved so this is just fluff really. Also – I have no idea what the people in the show are really like. This wasn't intended to offend anyone.

CHAPTER ONE – INTRODUCTIONS

“If I call craft service now, do you think I’ll get the water before I die of thirst.” David said.

“Come on, they’re not that bad.” I said looking around.

“Are you kidding? Carl is terrible, he’s slow, rude and dirty. I’d say something but who knows who they’re going to bring in next time.”

“You definitely got out of the wrong side of the bed.” I smiled.

“Craft Service!” He called. A young girl walked up to us.

“Sir, what can I get for you?”

“Wow, you’re quick, ah, Carl.” He said reading off the name stitched onto the breast of her shirt.

I giggled to myself. Carl was a large man and his old, sweat stained Craft Service t-shirt hung nearly down the girls knees. The sleeves hung down past her elbows. The shirt was plain white with black checks on the collar and cuffs.

“You’re swimming in that shirt.” I said. She smiled and looked down at herself.

“I was called in on short notice. They’re having me a shirt made up. But I won’t get it for a couple of days.”

“What’s your real name?” David asked. She smiled.

“Alex.” She said.

“Nice to meet you.” I shook her hand.

“The honour’s mine.” She said.

“Big fan?” David asked. She nodded.

“What can I get you?” She asked again.

“Water,”

“No worries.”

“You didn’t even say please.” I said as Alex walked away. “How are you going to teach Maddy manners if you don’t use them yourself.”

“I’ll say thank you.” He smiled. I sighed and shook my head. Alex returned and handed him a bottle of water. “Thanks.” He said.

“You’re welcome.” She smiled and walked away.

“Where the hell are my actors?” A paranoid voice called.

“Chris.” We smiled and walked away.
