I gaze at you in wonderment

Confusion churning deep inside

I can't let go, I can't relent

Just let the restless feelings hide

I know this isn't supposed to be

Something tells me it's not right

But then I look at you and see

Your eyes and spirit shining bright

You're always very overbearing

You're clumsy and somewhat unfair

But in this brand new world we're sharing

I've realized that I just don't care

I love your little cunning smirk

The one that says, "I've got a plan"

I love the way you never shirk

The way you want to be a man

Sometimes you say a touching thing

Right out of the blue

Then blink as I catch myself thinking

'I'd like to get to know you'

But, of course, this dream just isn't real

When I see you look her way

Your deep eyes wide with what you feel

And obvious in what you say

But I'll admire you from afar

Longing for the day

When I can look into those eyes

And say, "I love you, Daisuke."
