This is a poem I wrote inspired by Byron's view of immortality. Please
review. Please?
Blessing or Curse?
May you live forever.
Not a blessing, but a curse.
Condemned to eternal life,
with all the loss and pain
such a fate must bring.
Haunting memories become nightmares
which will last 'til times end.
Your life becomes
and endless masquerade.

This is no easy eternity,
no quick and easy death;
but long years of suffering
as all those you love die
and the world you once knew
slowly fades into history
till it's just a distant memory,
and your only envy.
