Ploughing through my brain
Sowing many sleepless nights
A harvest plagued by pain.

Following me everywhere
A black and lingering cloud
It seems I can't escape it;
This curse becomes my shroud.

I need a light to guide me;
A Saviour to see me through
If no one comes to rescue me
And there's no more I can do?

The one way which is easiest;
To leave this all behind.
To leave this empty landscape
Lays heavy on my mind.

Would I inflict such sorrow
On the ones who would remain?
Leave this bitter inheritance.
