Bulma was walking by a lake, she walked over to some flowers that were near the water and smelled them. She picked one then moved to sit beside the lake. She sat down looking at the flower she had just picked and glanced down at her reflection in the water. She was old; the wrinkles in her skin and tired eyes showed it.

Bulma closed her eyes and remembered a time when she loved to see her young beautiful reflection in the mirror. She opened her eyes and looked back into the water only to see her younger self. "What is this?" She asked herself disbelievingly. She looked down at herself only to see that indeed she was younger again. She felt her face, but her wrinkles were gone. She felt the smooth skin she had loved to touch when she was younger. She smiled and closed her eyes again.

However, when she opened them this time, she saw something in the water she thought she would never see again. She gasped and looked behind her quickly. Indeed he was there; she stared in awe at the man she had loved. "Is this real? It seems real." She thought. Bulma reached for him, "Vegeta, is that you?" She asked as her hand touched his cheek.

Vegeta looked into the eyes of the woman he had fallen in love with so long ago. He remembered how he had asked King Yemma if there was anyway that he could have a chance to see her again and tell her that he still loved her. He was told he could come, but only in her dreams. But that was better than nothing, he had to see her again.

He held the woman in his arms; he had waited so long to be this close to her again. Tears were sliding down her cheeks as she stared up at him, "Vegeta, I have missed you so much."

"Bulma, I don't have much time. I just wanted to tell you something." He said as he rubbed her cheek gently feeling her soft skin.

"Yes, Vegeta, what do you want to say?" Bulma asked still gazing into his eyes.

Vegeta looked into her crystal blue eyes seeing all the love for him within her; "I've waited for this moment for so long, I've wanted to tell you, and now that I have the chance, I'm not letting it go. I love you Bulma. Promise me you will always keep me in your heart."

Bulma smiled tenderly, "Always."

Vegeta recalled the first time he had seen the woman on Namek. When he had seen her just that time he couldn't get her off his mind. He had fallen in love with her. But how she had the same feelings toward him, he would never know. He was the Saiyan Prince and she was a human, yet they had still fallen in love.

His mind drifted to the many times she had cared for him when was injured from training in the gravity room. Sometimes she would stay with him all night just watching him rest. He never did say thank you for any of it, but she did it every time, she was always there. Right up until his demise.

Bulma didn't move, enjoying the feeling of being in his arms again. She realized he hadn't said anything for awhile, but that didn't bother her, at least he was there. She had never felt this way about anyone except him. She had lived for years without his touch and he had never told her he loved her until now.

But she had never let go. She knew he would never be able to come back and the only time she would possibly ever be able to see him again was when she died. Except for now, she had him now, and that was all that mattered for the moment.

"When will I be able to see you again?" She asked.

"Every night...I will come to you like this in your dreams. Until the day we are united again." He said. Vegeta looked at her again, he knew the time when he would have to leave was getting close. He didn't want to go, but he knew he had no choice. "I will come back, until then I'll be right here..." He said as his hand slid down to her chest where her heart should be. "In your heart."

Vegeta's image faded away as Bulma stretched out her hand for him. "I love you Vegeta." She whispered.

Bulma awoke in her bed. She looked around for any sign of the lake or Vegeta. When the realization hit her, at first she was saddened, then she remembered, "... I'll be right here...in your heart."

As she recalled those words he had said before he left her heart became warm. She knew there was nothing to be afraid of, he would come back, even if it was just in her dreams.

She would never let him go, he would always be in her heart, and she would always see him in her dreams. Forever.
