Agua stood, dismayed, between the two newsboys she loved. She had been seeing them both while frantically trying to choose between them. It seemed as though this action had finally caught up to her.

Blink, the lovable, goofy, one-eyed newsie looked furious. Mush, the sweet, innocent, totally hot newsie looked hurt and more than a little confused. Neither looked overly pleased with her.

Blink finally calmed himself enough to speak in a clear, normal voice. "Playin' with me and my best friend? What were ya thinkin' that you could get away, smilin', with our love?" he screamed at her.

Mush's jaw locked. "You'se ain't my best friend."

Agua's eyes rolled up to the heavens in silent appeal. Not only had she made both of her loves want to kill her slowly, she had destroyed the dream team. What more could go wrong?

Blink nodded thoughtfully. "True, true. Now, Agua, what are your excuses this time? You've always had plenty before. Although, I can't believe I fell for this one about washing your hair." He pointed at Mush. "Who's this? Your barber?"

Agua gulped and ignored the look of deep confusion in Mush's face about why, exactly, he would be her barber. "Well, it started when you both began asking me out. "I couldn't decide who I liked better, you or Mush, so I decided to go on one date with each of you. After the date, I still couldn't decide, so I kept trying. Obviously, things got out of control and this happened. I'm sorry guys, but I love you both so much. I just don't know how I can choose…"

Mush tried to look fierce and swirled to face Blink. "So it's him or me, eh?"

Blink stepped closer, succeeding in looking fierce. "It's a shame I don't have any competition."

Mush stepped foreword. "Why would she want a bad attitude that walks like a boy?"

Blink closed the distance. He looked really angry now. "And why would she want a shameless creature like you? You probably wouldn't even slap me if I kissed you right now!"

Mush glared down at him and bravely stood his ground. "I dare you, you hypocrite!"

That was all the abuse Blink could take. Growling, he grabbed Mush's shoulders, in a furious way, of course, and crushed his lips to Mush's in a fit of rage.

Agua looked on anxiously. The boys were still going at it. She hoped that one of them gave in before they both suffocated. Finally, Mush broke the kiss and they staggered apart, chest's heaving in revulsion.

The corners of Mush's mouth were turned up in a huge sneer. Blink's cheeks were flushed as if he had been exposed to something truly hideous. Agua saw the unmistakable looks of open hostility that they were shooting at each other.

Blink bared his teeth, wolf-like, at Mush. "That was horrible, Mush. You'se even worse than I thought."

Mush scowled. "Would you like to take this inside?"

Blink bristled. "I think I would."

Mush grabbed Blink's arm and pulled him back. He obviously trusted Blink about as far as he could throw him, as he pinned Blink tightly to his chest to prevent an escape. "First, let me remind you how much I hate you."

This kiss was very different than the first. It was soft and gentle, quietly seething, as the two competing boys fought to outdo each other on how gentle they could possibly be.

They pulled apart after mere seconds and, smirking evilly at each other, walked down the street to the Lodging House, where they could continue their fight in privacy.

Agua slumped down dejectedly on the street and absent-mindedly traced patterns in the dirt. "If they wasn't such a cute couple, I'd murder them both."

If you haven't noticed yet, this was a story sent to me by Aguachica. She has been told by her parents that she can't post to for a month and asked me to post this story for her, a request I gladly obliged to. ^_^ It's cute, I like it. Short, sweet and to the point. I still need to ask her if I should forward all reviews to her, but ah well. She wants to see what everyone else thinks about it, since it is her first slash. A fairly good attempt for a first timer. ^_^ With a bit of work, she could be a regular slasher. ^_^
