Padma also needs quiet to study, but she always needs the company of at least one other person- years of being A Twin has gotten her used to it. As long as she's silent, she can come up to Cho's room when everyone else is in the Common Room, and together they study or read. Sometimes, they get bored, though.
When they do get bored, sometimes they about Quidditch. Padma, like nearly everyone in the wizarding world, follows Quidditch to some extent. She don't know as much as Cho, though, and she usually just nods, so she won't talk about something she's not sure of and make an idiot out of herself. Padma hates looking like an idiot.
When it's not Quidditch they talk about, sometimes it's how they hate being regarded as snobs because they're in Ravenclaw. Just because they have high standards, the girls say, doesn't mean they're stuck-up and snooty. They deliever their high standards to each other, comparing. Padma laughs when she hears Cho's standards for finding someone to love.
"Has to be nice, smart, somewhat good-looking... can't be a loner, needs to have friends... has to be interested in Quidditch..." Cho frowns at Padma. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing," Padma tries to hide a smile. "It's just that it's nearly identical to my list." They stare at each other for a long time, but surprisngly it takes them a while to finally kiss. When they do, it's awkward, but worthwhile. After all, they do have high standards.
