Chapter 1

Darkness, one of the best times of the endless day, I watch the sun slowly yet surely fall into the swells of the dark plains of forest. Lost in a dream, memories fill my head, dark ones oh yes. The pain that still lies deep within my soul. The shadows of those days of war and bloodshed are long gone but they still haunt me with a fierce force. It’s what keeps me going the strife of knowing what I saw back on the small colony.
The endless pictures of watching them fall to their knees in painful blood. Trying there best to stay alive as long as possible to keep the people of our little colony safe. It will go on for hours if I don’t keep myself busy. I look back on those painful days to find that I couldn’t have done anything for them. I was as powerless as they were, like mice trying to escape the waiting prey overhead. She was exactly like that. Evil she wasn’t, she was more then evil.
I screamed out to them until my throat couldn’t take anymore, crying fighting that horrible place that I was locked away in. A dimension where everything around you went on as it should have, where you have no say in what’s happening around you and you watch everything people you love have worked for go down into ashes. I remember exactly how she destroyed them. Pain, she made sure they knew what it was, to feel the smoldering sensation that her father went through the night he died. She wanted revenge and she would have it, taking five innocent human lives away. Leaving me in ceaseless pain, she could feel me there watching her slaughter my friends in pure joy.
Her voice filled my head with laughter, as she annihilated the team. “ See? Their going to join you soon in that little world .I promised you and your friends that someday you would pay, this is my time, a new beginning for my race, and the ending to your own.” “ Stop! Don’t hurt them!!!” My voice crackled in the empty world that I was in. She just smirked at me and kept on going. I just stood there watching her, destroy them; it was like a horror movie with no end. Finally they gave in, blue, green, yellow, pink and red light floated away from them, leaving their bodies lifeless, drowning in shallow agony, letting go. “ No!!!” I cried again and again none there to grieve for my loss; emptiness filled me and made me want to be in that powerful energy swirl again that had ended my life abruptly.
The evil being known as Treakeena disappeared into thin air, I could still hear her haunting laugh for a long time after.
I crumbled to the icy floor in salty tears, crying for the people who had made my life whole when I was alive.
They were gone now, no more of Damon’s jokes, Maya’s light heart or Leo’s courage that kept the galaxy rangers together. It was nothing now, just an empty timeless space.

A long while after I stood up walking back through the city gates to see the elders and ask to see my friends. I watched as people rushed past me to find their loved ones to greet them on this side. I soon found Wina one of the great elders, my teacher and friend for the past few months.
She didn’t seem the same as I drew nearer to her.
“ Wina?” She gazed up at me with sorrow in her soft green eyes. “ Child there you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” “ Wina, I need to see my friends.” “ Dear, that’s not possible you know that.” “ Not there, here, there here in this dimension, they were killed in battle just a few hours ago.” “ I know.” Her face held even more sadness then before. “ I’m sorry but you can’t see them.” “ Why?” I demanded. “ Because we are sending you back.” “ Sending me back? WHY?” “ Your journey isn’t over yet.” She simply explained. “ It is now, there’s nothing left for me there, everything I love is gone!” I practically shouted which made a few people turn our way. “ There’s no use in shouting.” Wina calmly says to me. “ Bull! You and the rest of the elders are sending me back to a worthless world with nothing!” “ I’m sorry but you have no choice.” She apologizes. “ I’m not going back you here me? I am staying here and I am going to see my friend’s whether you nor the elders like it.” “ No, you will not, you will do as you’re told young one. It’s about time you learned your place in life and if that means we say you have to go back then shall be it!” Wina’s voice had become more fiercely this time.
“ No! I won’t! I won’t!” I sobbed. I couldn’t stop the tears from coming. She didn’t comfort me, she walked away her voice whispered one more thing as she walked by. “ You’re leaving in the morning.”

They made me leave, like it or not. As I entered an atmosphere of oxygen, I could feel my heart return to it’s normal rate, my flesh become alive. I became human again, but as I felt the ground for the first time in months, I felt nothing, not happiness, just the same emptiness that I still sometimes feel today. I was so engrossed in my memories that I didn’t notice a caring hand on my shoulder.
“ Whatcha thinking about?” Her kind voiced asked. “ Nothing, nothing at all.” “ C’mon, I came out here to see if you wanted to join me and the others at the diner.” “ Sure, let’s go.” I pulled myself up off the soft warm ground and Brittany and I made our way to the diner to meet our friends.
