Well, I couldn't help but notice that all the one-sided Colin/Ginny is from Colin's side (and Colin/Ginny is usually one-sided. ::sigh:: So I decided to fix that. Thought of this while I was in a car and Tainted Love was on the radio.

Ginny watches Colin with Pansy. Watches as he gives her everything he can. She doesn't deserve it, Ginny thinks. She's probably using him. She has to be. Girls like Pansy saw boys like Colin as Mudbloods. Geeks. They saw Colin's smile as goofy, not adorable. They were cool and composed, and would never understand Colin's energy and passion.

Ginny shouldn't care. Except that she does. She wants to be the on who's hand he's holding. She wants to be the one he brings flowers and presents to, even though she doesn't care about the flowers or the presents, all she wants is him, his hug, his kiss. She wants to talk to him into the night and stare into his eyes. Pansy doesn't deserve those flowers. She doesn't deserve the hugs. She doesn't deserve the kisses.

Does Pansy laugh about Colin behind his back? Ginny can't bring herself to tell Colin that Pansy is probably using him, whispering afterwards to her friends about the stupid Mudblood, what an idiot, keeps buying her presents even after she treats himlike shit. She can't bring herself to, and besides, what if he doesn't believe Ginny? What if he accuses Ginny of lying in order to make him break up with Pansy? Then she won't have his friendship, either. And that's everything to her. More than the hugs and kisses she gets from . But she wants the longing look to be in HIS eyes, to see HIS smile right before the kiss. Ginny just sighs and brushes her hair, though, puts on nice dress robes, writes owls to her boyfriends. There's no point in wishing and waiting, so she'll just have to move on with her life.
