"Hey Andrew"Darien said walking into the crown arcade and taking his usual seat on one of

the stools by the counter.

"Hey Darien, The usual?"Andrew question cleaning out a coffee mug.

"Yup"Darien said.

Andrew finished drying the coffee mug and poured some coffee into it putting milk and sugar

in it and passed it to Darien.

"Your a lifesaver you know"Darien said taking a big gulp of his coffee.

'Mmmmm steamy caffine goodness'Darien thought'Caffine something Serina doesn't

where was his Serina'

"Thanks Dare" Andrew said looking at his friend. Something was the matter Darien was

looking around scanning the arcades members.

"Wheres Serina?" Darien finaly said turning back to his friend.

"I don't know it's saturday she's probaly with the other girls"Andrew said shrugging.

Suddenly Darien heard the doors jingle and looked over to see a little yellow streek flying

towards him. It was Serina.

"HIDE ME" Serina said jumping over the counter and squated down so no one could see her.

"From what?"Darien said jumping over the counter and sitting beside her.

"You'll see"Serina said shivering.

"What's with people jumping over my counter?" Andrew said wiping the dirt off the counter

"I dunno" Darien said with a shrug. Darien looked to Serina who was sitting down on the

floor her knees pulled to her chin and her arms around her legs. She was shivering. What could

make his Serina shiver? "Whats wronge Serina?" Darien asked her and she burried her face into

her knees.

"Nothing" Serina said.

"Your shivering Serina" Darien said "There has.."

Darien was inturupted by the arcade's doors bursting open and Alex Serina's old boyfriend

walking in. Darien got to his feet and stood behind the counter.

"What do you want?" Darien said smirking.

"Where is Serina?" Alex said making Serina shiver.

"She's not here she went out the back door" Darien said his hands at his sides Alex was

unable to see them.

Darien jumped as he felt a small hand latch onto his.

"Where did Serina go?" Alex said. Darien felt her squeese his hand.

"I don't know....Probaly home or somewheres to eat" Darien said squeesing her hand back.

"Goddamn her" Alex said turning around and storming out.

"Is .. is he gone?" Serina asked in a quiet shaky whisper.

"Yeh he left" Darien said sitting beside her. "Why are you so scared of him?"

"He used to beat me I still have scars" Serina said. Darien clenched his fists.

"How did he beat you?" Darien asked.

"He punched me, Kicked me, Cut me with knives" Serina looked down hiding her eyes with her

hair. Darien noticed the small wet spots on her shorts.

"It's alright Serina" Darien said stroking her hair "You don't have to tell me if you don't

want to."

"Ok" She said wiping at her eyes and looking up at him. Her eyes were red and one single

tear ran down her face. Darien wiped it away with his thumb. She was beautiful and Darien would

be the first one to admit it if anyone asked him. She had very beautiful curves, a beautiful face,

You could get lost in her eyes for days.

Darien looked around and spotted no one. He looked down at Serina who was gazing into his eyes.

Darien's eyes went over her face stopping at her eyes. Slowly inch by inch the two got closer.

Darien put his hands on her sholders and leaned in kissing her lightly on the lips. Serina closed

her eyes wishing the moment would go on forever. The two parted and Serina opened her eyes. Darien

stood to his feet and reached down putting his hand out for Serina who accepted it and was helped

off the floor.

"I won"t let him hurt you" Darien said smiling as Serina climbed over the counter. Darien jumped over it too no one noticing or so they thought.

'I have to get thouse two togeather they'd be such a cute couple'Andrew thought to himself
