A/N: Hi! I'm back with another fic! This ones got lotsa one of my other favorite characters- TINFOIL LAD!!!! I mean.....ah.....Poitr. ^^ Colossus, you may have noticed, hasn't many fics to himself. And this is not one of them! He's gotta share the spot light with Kurt. =D so lets see how this goes, eh? Btw, yeah...it kinda IS one of those fics that KINDA explains what Magneto's got over Colossus, but I don't really know so it's not to an extent. Also- in the novelized version of the movie, they call Poitr 'Peter'. But I like 'Poitr'- so I'll keep with that. ^^

NOTE: this is not related to any of my other fics, ok? Just so you know.

Note, again!: this is an AU because I can't see the new episodes from where I live (sadness, I know) so I don't know where everything stands. I know Colossus had a bit in 'Dark Horizons' but I haven't seen anything since 'Under Lock and Key'. Tolerate me, please! (b/c I'm so pissed at not being able to see the new eps! GRRR!)

Read and Review if you will! I'm thinking this will be good-ish! The idea came to me, and I thought it would make for a nice fic. This fic has a point, and I even have the whole thing planned out (generally)! But that doesn't mean I don't want suggestions! ;)

Disclaimer: I don't own x men evolution. Natta. None.

Chapter 1: Pleasures When They Come; Take Them

-X-

The large man stopped, and took in the crisp morning air. It was so refreshing- familiar. All his mornings waking up early to it- the feeling still never lost it's majesty. Deciding not to dwell on it, the man shifted his pack and moved on through the woods.

Such beautiful woods. Try as he might, he couldn't keep from letting his mind and attention wander to them. So tall, with such pride- the man felt almost ashamed to be among the trees and woods. A problem he caused still burned deep in his heart.

He shifted his pack again- it was heavy. Bulky and not well defined, and though somewhat large, it looked small against his back.

A short breeze whipped at his face. After tousling his hair, the breeze moved on. And after cursing at such a 'not-deserved' pleasure, the man moved on too.

~*~*~

Kurt Wagner gazed out the airplane window lazily. The clouds looked like castles in the sky- soft and white, colored only with a scotch of pink from the morning sun. Flying all night and into early morning, Kurt hadn't taken his eyes off the sky scenes.

This was not the case for the little old man sitting beside Kurt. He had taken to his airsick bag, ran out of room in that, and then taken to Kurt's. Kurt only now smiled. Finally, the man was holding down his lunch, and doing so quietly.

Kurt sat back in his seat.

'A week with my parents in Germany- Wunderbar!' the trip was going on nice enough, and Kurt was enjoying himself.

Kurt checked the time- only two more hours until landing. His stomach did flip flops with excitement. He never had been so far away from his parents. When in his younger years- he rarely left the house. Suddenly moving to the states, Kurt had never felt so far from home. And after recent events were finally dieing down, he was able to go back and visit.

The little kids sitting behind Kurt started kicking his seat. Kurt rolled his eyes dully.

'Huh- childish antics- I wonder what Kitty's doing right now?' Kurt mused, and pulled himself back to the window. The clouds had long since disappeared now, and this gave Kurt a chance to look below to the ground.

They were flying over some woods now, and Kurt wished he could teleport down to the trees and solid ground, and just get a whiff of that crisp air before returning to the store bought 'ever-green' smell of the airplane.

But Kurt refrained from doing so, knowing very well that would be stupid to try, and possibly dangerous. But he /was/ getting antsy. Sitting for so long in one place- on his /tail/ of all things. Kurt looking longingly to the sticky children running up and down the isles.

'Lucky little squirts.'

Bringing his attention back to the scene below, Kurt saw a figure moving swiftly through the forest. He was a big man, which was why Kurt could /just/ seeing him from so high up. The man seemed to know where he was going- Kurt figured maybe he lived around there, and was returning home or something. Kurt shrugged it off as he found himself gazing about the airplanes occupants.

People about the plane seemed so happy, so okay. None of them were worried about anything Kurt could tell right off. No one was worried for their friends back home where they were still trying to live their lives exposed as mutants. Except Kurt.

He was still unsure about the hole 'ditch the inducer' thing Kitty and Evan seemed to bring up every other second.

'Well, Kitty looks normal. Of course she'd say that.' Kurt defended, 'And Evan solved /his/ strange looks problem by living in the sewers. Yesh- what's so wrong with the fuzzy one keeping his inducer?' Kurt thought to himself.

And settled back. 'No need to think about that now. Just look foreword to home, and Mama's home cooking.'

Kurt smiled.

~*~*~

Only discovered he had fallen asleep when he awoke with that sound of the flight attendant over the intercom reporting they were about to land, and file out, Kurt yawned, streatched, and relaxed his eyes.

Kurt gathered his bag from the overhead compartment, and set it on his lap.

Checking his watch again, Kurt realized he had missed his organized ride to the town he could port/walk from to his parent's house. Groaning, Kurt knew he'd have to make the trip himself as his parents didn't have a car, and he didn't have enough money to rent /another/ ride.

The seat belt light came on, and soon after Kurt found himself carrying his bag, and the bag of the little old man beside him- into the lobby.

"Thank you, young lad!" the old man quipped. Kurt gave a nervous smile. Ok, one problem solved. The little man was no longer barfing onto Kurt's feet, or anywhere near Kurt himself. He was happily trotting away with an employee wheeling his bag. Second problem: how to get home?

Kurt decided to call his parents first, and tell them he made the flight without a problem.

'Not one that can't be washed out, anyway..' Kurt mused, and made a face at the foul smelling bottom on his pants and his sticky foot. "Yuck."

"Mama?" Kurt asked, finally getting the pay phone to work after having to punch the numbers with a pencil.

(A/n: big hands. And three fingers- poor guy! No cell for him)

"Kurti!" his adoptive mother's voice came in a little muffled- probably from transmission about the woodsy area where they lived.

"Hallo Mother, yeah, good to hear from you too." Kurt said, coiling the phone cord about his two fingers.

"Mother, my plane was a little late, and I missed my ride. No! No, it's ok! I'm fine, yes, yes, no. ok. Home? Yeah, I'll get there in few hours. I'll be fine. My feet and my 'bamf' Mama. Yes, ok, I'll be fine. Love you too. See you in a few, ok, bye."

Kurt hang up the phone, his mothers plush German still lively about his ears.

Kurt slung his bag over his shoulders, and made his way out of the airport for his travel home.

A/N: so, kinda dull first chapter, but it'll get better! ^^ lots of Kurt, I know, but lots of Poitr will come!
