I do not see you as if you were a bronzed Adonis or onyx

or the shards of granite the sun ignites

I see you as certain cherished things are to be seen

In sincerity, between dusk and darkness

I see you as the king that never tires

But holds within himself the eternal wisdom of his rule

Thanks to your integrity a lucid knowledge

Borne of need, sparks a gleam in my eye

I see you without knowing who, or what, or wherefore

I see you fiercely, without color or form

I see you because I know no other direction to look

But at you; here, there are neither facades nor concealment

So true, that deceit finds no home in you

So true, that it sets me free
