Summary: Max and Alec run into each other as Manticore is burning down.
Author's Note: I got to wondering when Manticore was burning down both Max and Alec were there but did they run into each other?

"Holy shit…she actually did it, " Alec whispered in awe. He stood in shock at the site of the burning building before him. He couldn't believe it was actually happening. He never would have thought Max was telling the truth. He turned to leave but out of the corner of his eye he saw…was that Max? Quickly, he made his way through the woods towards Max. He saw her coming in a full out run and stepped out in front of her making her stop quickly taking a defensive stance.

"Good job, Max." he mocked.

"Where's Logan?" she questioned protectively.

"I was gonna put him out of his misery, but some blonde chick stopped me or more like convinced me not too, " he said.

She swung at him but he blocked it and punched back getting blocked. She shoved him away and sneered. "You son-of-a-bitch!" she yelled.

"What's your deal?" he yelled back.

"I can't believe you let me infect him! You were there the whole time!" she argued.

"It was my mission! I was ordered to let you escape and follow you to Eyes-Only. I wasn't supposed to interfere until you infected him!" he explained loudly.

"You could've stopped it, " she said.

"I didn't know you were gonna burn Manticore to the ground!" he yelled in defense.

"Oh so you're saying that you would've said the hell with it if you didn't have anybody to report too?" she said.

Alec shook his head, "You have no idea what you're talking about."

"Just stay the hell away from me, or the next time we meet it won't be pretty, " she said walking past him.

Alec turned and watched her disappear then turned back to watch the flames engulf the place he used to call home. "Why do I get this fucked up feeling we'll be seeing each other again…soon?" He turned and disappeared into the darkness.
