Summary: Will and Elizabeth’s daughter Emma falls in love when they receive an unexpected visit from Jack Sparrow

Authors Notes: This is my first Pirates fic and as far as I know this hasn’t been done yet… I hope! I know this chapter was a little slow but it will pick up.

Prologue

Emma Turner awoke; breathing heavily, not unlike her mother had some 17 years before hand. She had, had a terrible dream, of men causing mutiny upon a merchant vessel. Of course she had no idea that she had dreamed of pirates. She had no need to, for her parents had never spoken to her about pirates and she had no idea that her father had once been one. Of course he and her mother had both decided that it was for the best that Emma didn’t know of her pirate heritage, or what a pirate was for that matter. And thanks largely to Jack Sparrow, whom Emma had never meet, Port Royal had been safe from pirate attack for near 16 years.

But that one morning was to change everything, like it always did in these cases.

Emma Turner: smart, strong willed vivacious, head strong and beautiful- like her mother. Her grandfather was Governor Swann and although she didn’t know it she was related to a long line of great pirates the most recent being her father William. Emma was the pride of Port Royal, and her parents had worked hard for it to be that way. The young daughter of William Turner and Elizabeth Swann was now 16 and just as beautiful as her mother had been at age 19. At first the inhabitants of the beautiful port ignored or looked down upon the existence of Emma Turner, the daughter of a pirate. But some hard work and a few word to the people from both Commodore Norrington and Governor Swann changed things. Of course Emma’s parents had also worked hard to keep this from her. She was never to know of her pirate heritage. But fate had a funny way of working and as Emma approached her 16th birthday a year before a worried Will and Elizabeth realized that the truth was not to far off. As Emma became interested in boys her own age and began to ask about how her parents had meet Elizabeth realized that she would have to explain to Emma some day – that although all of the residents of Port Royal had agreed to stay silent about Emma’s past, none of the wished to have a pirate in their family no matter how distant.

Elizabeth was distraught. How could they treat her daughter like that?  With things the way they were, she doubted that Emma would ever marry and have a family. But she had to keep this from her only daughter. She and Will had agreed that they would tell her parts of the story on her 21st birthday but fate had a funny way of working and it would be during the present day, only months away from Emma’s 17th year, that her entire heritage would come spilling out. Thanks to one person by the name of Jack Sparrow.

Emma allowed the rhythmic beating of the waves to lull her back to sleep but it was all too soon when the sun that flooded her room awoke her once more. Grumbling slightly Emma pulled herself from the warmth of her bed. A maid rushed to her side and began fusing over her and what she would wear for the day. Emma didn’t care. She was not and never had been a morning person and therefore did not care nor did she ever remember what happened during the first hours of morning. Once she was ready she made the short journey downstairs to have breakfast with her mother and father. Both were always cherry in the mornings but once they had said the usual good mornings they were smart enough to stay rather quiet. That morning was no different, that was until there was a rather frantic knock at the door. Emma’s father walked from the dining room and upon opening the door was nearly knocked from his feet and a man rushed in and slamming the door behind him lent against it, slid to the floor and cried

“My God Will you’ve got to hide me”
