Disclaimer: I hate this disclaimer crap....but I love this movie and I must
respect it. Muah. I don't any of the characters, yadda yadda you know the
drill. Takes place after the movie, when Sam and Joon get their own
apartment. Set in Sam's POV
Relish In The Moment
I awoke one cold, gray, wednesday morning to the sound of a blender
operating in the kitchen adjacent to the bedroom. My mind clicked and I
knew it was only Joon preparing her daily mornining routine of blending
Cap'n Crunch cereal, milk, and a nice big glob of extra chunky
peanut butter. She loved her routine, follwing it every morning like
clockwork, and got upset if it was somehow thrown out of whack.
I smile to myself at the memory of one morning when she forgot to replace
the lid of the blender, before pressing the "on" button.
Needless to say Benny had just come for a visit and wasn't too pleased to
see soggy cereal and peanut butter strewn throughout the kitchen, and all
over his sister.
After a quick stretch and a rub of the eyes, I haphazardly threw the sheets
off of my T-shirt and boxer clad body and sat up. Thank goodness it was
cloudy outside; I wasn't much of a morning person and not a fan of bright
sunlight in the eyes that early. At that moment, Joon
sauntered into the room carrying a glass of her famous morning concauction,
and I took a grateful chug. I had become attached myself to the drink ever
since Joon had me try some when we were still living with Benny, Joon's
brother. I glanced at her smiling face, and noticed she was wearing my
favorite hat; a very good likeness to the one
Charlie Chaplin was often spotted wearing, one of the reasons why I adored
it so much. Joon was the only one who was
allowed to even touch it.
Joon let out a small sigh and leaned against my body. We sat like that for
several minutes; sometimes it was nice to simply sit
with the one you love and relish in the moment.
"Benny's coming over today. Maybe we should clean up a little."
I could see her motion mostly to the ironing board in the corner of the
room. The poor contraption had probably been through
more hell than any other appliance in the house. The cloth cover was
covered in scorch marks, and still smelled faintly of burned cheddar.
Another look across the room assured my suspicions that the apartment
did actually need a good mop n' shine. Assorted socks of many different
colors and sizes were strewn about, some hanging off of lamp shades and one
even danging from one of the ceiling fan's pedals. My cane I enjoyed
carrying around everywhere was sticking out of the dirt in a potted plant
we had picked up on a walk. That wasn't all;
many other things were disheveled, or needed to be replaced. Most of it had
been there when we had moved in, only a week ago.
I paused, simply to think, before opening my mouth.
"I think the place looks fine the way it is."
"Really?"
"Mhm."
Another gulp of the cereal and peanut butter milk.
"I love you."
A smile creeps across my lips, and I wipe away my milk mustache. I crane my
neck and kiss her gently on the top of her straw-blonde head.
"Love you too."

Yeah, so it was sappy and gross and pointless. But I felt like writing and
this is what came
out. Feedback much appreciated. :)
