Cloud silently reloaded his camera with film then turned his attention once more to his subject. He expertly adjusted the lens then zoomed in. The heavenly sound of water falling to the ground due to rain is nothing but a distant murmur to him as he resets his camera to take another shot. He is unmindful of the fact that the slight shower is gradually turning to a downpour beating on his unprotected body. Not even the soft sound of the pitter-patter of rubber boots can make him turn around and take notice the angelic figure that stopped beside him to look at him. Brunette wisps curved and accentuated the heart-shaped face of the angelic person as she bends down and opens an umbrella for the young man.

"Working late again?" Tifa inquired without really expecting an answer. She knows her boyfriend Cloud, when he's working- he can be as silent and as hard as stone. She heaves a sigh then propped the umbrella securely over his head, "Where would you be without me now huh?" she cracked a smile but it was not returned.

"You're always out in the rain these past few days."

"." Then the sound of camera- Click! Click!

He changes the camera angle then starts snapping away again.

"What pictures are you taking today anyway?" without waiting for an answer she looked at the camera lens direction of sight and spotted flowers that are in full bloom but are drenched in the rain. "Flowers.what so special about them? So ordinary." Flashback: Tifa just finished track meet. Exhausted, she turns around a corner to go to the water fountain when all of a sudden a bright flash of light blinded her momentarily. The swirls of colors took a few seconds to disappear. When it finally did she saw before her eyes a grinning Cloud holding up his camera in front of her in triumph.

"Aaarrgh! Cloud I'm a mess! Don't you dare develop that!" she tried to make a grab for the camera.

"Hahaha! Wait 'till the guys of the football team get a load of this!" Cloud steered the camera away from her reach while still laughing. "They'll realize you're not even half the vixen they all thought you are!"

"Cloud!" she pinched him hard on the arm. He let out a yelp and rubbed the swollen mark. Tifa grabbed the chance and snatched the camera.

"Can't you take a joke?" he whined. "You're such a bad tempered, uncute girl!" he teased.

Tifa flares up, "Sorry for being uncute!" then she turns her back to him, folds her arms together and pouts.

"Hey-hey just kidding, don't get mad at me okay?" he rubs his head meekly.

When Tifa still ignored him he fished two pieces of paper out of his pocket. He let one of the papers fly from his hand and towards Tifa's face. She glanced sideways then accurately catches the paper without breaking her pose. She reads the inscription on the paper out loud.

'Come see the magic of love.the most tragic drama in Gaea's history. The beautiful tale: I Want to Be Your Canary'

"Oh my-" her hand found her mouth as she restrains a high pitch giggle. "How the heck were you able to get a hold of this?!"

"Like it?"

"Like it?!" Her eyes bulged, "It's the only most sought after play for all time! Tickets were sold out months ago!"

Suddenly she looked suspicious, "You didn't steal these did you?"

"Well if you don't want it-" Cloud snatched the ticket. Tifa's eyes widened and retaliated by grabbing the ticket back.

"No, no are you kidding me? Don't take it back!"

She giggles as she danced around in excitement at the same time singing, "We're going to the play.a wonderful play."

If only she turned around, even for just a moment, she could've caught the admiring eyes and boyish smile that lit up Cloud's face upon looking at her glee.

The look of love. Cloud stands up from his kneeling position then looks at her in the eye, "Do you need something?" his voice is tinged discreetly with annoyance. She stared back at him then looked slowly away. "I don't want to bother you Tiff okay? You don't need to wait for me I think it's best for you to leave."

He returned to his crouching position, tinkered a bit with his camera before readying it for another round. She sighs then turns around to leave. But before she takes a step she reminds him: "Don't forget that tonight is enchantment night at the Gold Saucer. You promised to take me weeks ago so don't come late like you always do okay?"

Tifa took the inaudible grunt from Cloud as an acknowledgement and so she left.

A storm is raging outside the window of Cloud's room. Ominous dark clouds passed by in an endless train while sharp winds and furious downpour tore the silence of the evening spirit. An unabated ghost seem to beat its anger on the apple trees outside Clouds house as the branches wailed and bashed like a spoiled child on the resolute window.

Inside the room was a picture of undying perfection; no book is in disarray or out of the bookshelf, different awards and trophies stood as silent patrons over the still room, a crease has no place over the smooth cerulean sheets and blankets, the computer and other technological equipment are placed away in a corner eternally forbidden to move, while a great sword hung above the four-poster bed casting eerie shadows on the seemingly little items below it like a king that towers over his subjects. Camera utilities stood as the right hand of the royal entourage, placed indiscreetly on the headboard above.

Save for the confusion and madness outside, nothing disturbs the ghostly silence of the room. But that is about to change as one of the most insignificant item in Cloud's world begins to hum and vibrate. Looking back at the small dismal corner where the hi-tech gadgets are located there we can find the curious material making a loud ruckus when in reality it is nothing more but a small beeping sound against a dead quiet.

Cloud's cellular phone, a moment it stopped and Cloud's baritone voice pierced the stillness. "It's me Cloud, I stepped out for a moment so just please leave your message after the beep," his voice basic, monotonous, isolated. Cloud unlike other people, doesn't put his personal identification message composed of utter inanity (like some other people) in his voice mailbox.

Someone took a sharp intake of breath in the other line, after a hesitant pause Tifa's hushed voice intruded the silence, "Hey, you didn't show up.I'm not angry okay, but I wish you told me.Please call me as soon as you come home."

Only a few minutes passed when there was another beep, it was still Tifa. "Am I boring you? Sorry, I just want to know if you're home. Bye now."

Just when the stillness was beginning to return in that dark room, the phone vibrated once more.

"Turtle Paradise has a new cocktail specialty. I'll treat you tomorrow to let you know I'm not angry. Call me okay?"

Not too long after there was another beeping sound.

"I,I, I just wanna say goodnight.So goodnight."

After that the phone rang no more.

In another place yet at the same time Tifa sat cross-legged on top of her pristine-white bed inside her rose-colored room. Contrast to Cloud's room, Tifa's room is not exactly messy yet it's not as proper and as orderly as her boyfriend's. Different rock stars are posted on the scarlet walls, a mahogany cabinet is bulging with clothes and seems ready to burst and have an avalanche of clothes of different colors and design. The stereo is currently playing Avril Lavigne's 'Losing Grip' and the floor seems to vibrate with the noise.

'Are you aware of what you make me feel, baby? Or am I invisible to you like I'm not there. Didn't you feel me lock my arms around you? Why you turned away? This is what I have to say.'

"Honey will you please lower the volume! You're giving me a headache!" she can hear her mom's pleading voice as she gently knocked on her door.

Tifa turned the stereo off and at the same time she finally returned the phone receiver back to the hook. She sighed, her heart heavy with sadness before smoothing her baby-pink nightgown as she readies herself for bed. She reached for the nightlight but as she did so her gaze landed on the heart-shaped picture frame beside the lamp, on top of the bedside table.

Her expression softened and her eyes glistened as when eyes do when tears threaten to pour out. She took the frame from the table, turned off the light, and slept with the picture close to her heart.

Does the world know? The sadness I felt.I want to hide it Please don't.I'm not used to. to lose you will be losing myself too
