Lovers Till Death Due us Part

Chapter 15:

Another week had come and gone, and Chichi was working diligently on her new project. A scrapbook of all the children, as Vegeta had requested. She was enjoying herself and was happier to have some time to herself because it meant that she would be working on her scrapbook. She was still suppose to be taking it easy, but she found that Vegeta was letting her do more and more, the laundry and cooking were done with the help of someone, but she was free to do anything else she wanted…except one thing. Sex.

Vegeta had denied her for 3 weeks straight, and she was starting to lose her mind. The last week he had even stopped touching her completely, it was like the bigger she got the more reluctant he was to act on his desire for her. It was driving her crazy. She was going to confront him about it, but every time she tried he had blatantly rejected her and walked away. She wasn't sure what to do about it, but her mood was becoming more and more aggravated as the days pasted, and it was apparent that Vegeta's mood was heading in the same direction.

She was determined to make it stop. One day when the children were all at school and Vegeta was training she slipped out of the house to go in to town, stopping at a store to pick up as much scandalous and lacy lingerie she could find. If this didn't work she would have to try walking around butt naked! On her way back to Capsule Corp, she thought of what it was that she had just done. When she was married to Goku she had had a few more sexy nightgowns, but no dirty lingerie, she had never needed it. Sex with Goku was completely different than how it is with Vegeta. She blushed as she thought about comparing the two. Where Goku was sweet and gentle, Vegeta was passionate and rough. Neither were better than the other, just different.

She remembered when Cell was threatening the earth, the night before Goku left his love-making was slightly similar to Vegeta's, but she could see the differences now, it wasn't passion that had Goku touching her that way that night.

It had been desperation.

He was desperate that night for closeness, for all of her in every way possible. He had known he wasn't going to come back, and despite the fact that he had told Gohan to rest up that night, he had spent practically the whole night making love to Chichi. It was a bittersweet memory for Chichi, because now she knew why he had acted that way, he had known it would be the last time he touched her in such a way, he had put his entire being into it, and the level of intimacy, of closeness hadn't matched anything they had ever done in comparison, not even with Vegeta.

She had reached the house by now, and was feeling slightly more miserable since having thought about that special evening with Goku. She sat down on the couch, and suddenly she was crying. She cried herself into exhaustion, falling asleep against the couch her bag of lingerie by her side. She wasn't surprised to have dreamed of Goku, he had been the last thing on her mind when she fell asleep, and there he was staring at her.

*Dream*

"You're sad." He stated, giving her a tiny smile. She reached up and touched her face, she was crying even in her dream.

"I'm sad." She whispered back. He gathered her in his arms, and kissed her forehead.

"I'm still sorry." He said his own tears falling. She grasped him tighter, holding on to him for all the times they had had together, and all the times they had missed out on.

*Dream Ends*

She awoke violently, Vegeta in front of her a frown on his face that she had seen before.

"You're crying…and calling for that clown in your sleep." He stated, his hands on his hips. She didn't say anything this time, she just wiped her tears and stood up, taking her bag with her she made to go to their room, maybe take a hot shower or something to calm her nerves, but Vegeta's hand reached out and grabbed her. She turned to look at him, her eyebrow raised in question.

"Don't you think I deserve an explanation?" he asked roughly. She sighed.

"He was my husband for a long time, do you expect me to just stop missing him completely?" She knew that wasn't the right thing to say, but she was annoyed. Vegeta hissed in a breath at her answer and jerked her arm making her stumble away from him.

"I'm not enough for you? Is that it?" he barked. She cringed at his tone of voice they haven't fought like this since the beginning. Normally she would have launched into attack mode, but she just didn't care about arguing right now. At her silence, Vegeta continued.

"I'm always second to that ridiculous clown, how dare you expect me to be second when it comes to you!" At his words Chichi snapped back immediately without thinking.

"But you are second!" She yelled, then suddenly aware of what she had said, she hadn't meant that he was second to her love she had only meant he was second in the timeline, but explaining that to Vegeta would be useless she had already messed up. He wouldn't listen to her now. She knew it; the look on his face was pure shock. He couldn't believe she had said that. Then the shock turned into something else, anger.

He was furious.

"Get out." He whispered. At first, Chichi wasn't sure she heard him right. Had he told her to leave? Did he mean his sight, or leave the house? Her voice quivered when she responded.

"Wh…what?"

"I said. Get Out. Now." He moved forward to grab her arm, but she forced herself back away from him.

"Now! Before I throw you out!" he screamed. Chichi's eyes were wide, and before she knew what she was doing, she had run out the door. Tears streaming down her face, she didn't even look back.

Vegeta stood stationary, hearing the door slam behind her, he let out a deep sigh, still not moving from his spot. He was so angry he couldn't see straight. It took him a few minutes before he realized what he had done. He had thrown his mate out of his house, his pregnant mate. He brought his head down into his hands, and cursed himself.

The bag on the floor caught his attention. He reached down and opened it, letting out an angry chuckle. That wench was going to try and seduce him and he had…

He took another deep breath. But it didn't matter how many breaths he took, he was still pissed off. Thoughts of what his Onna had been dreaming about kept flooding his mind. Had she been fucking Kakarrot in her dreams? Having him hold her and kiss her, things he hadn't done to her all week? That couldn't be right, she had been crying. It was possible she simply missed him.

But that answer was so…unsatisfying. His jealousy wouldn't tolerate that answer. There had to be something he wasn't seeing. He hadn't said anything until now, but she had been dreaming about Kakarrot all week, it had been driving him insane. He had been ready to stop his ban on sex and then she had called out that fools name. How could he touch her after that? All week he had been haunted by Kakarrot's memory. Did she really only miss Kakarrot, or was she trying to replace that ridiculous saiyan with a Prince.

His pride had taken hits every time that lower class whelp's name slipped from her lips.

Was he really second? He had thought….maybe this time, things would be different. Yet here he was, not living up to Kakarrot's memory. He was second to a dead man. He clenched his fists. He hated the fact that Kakarrot had her first. He hated the fact that he had fallen in love with another Saiyans mate.

His eyes snapped open. Had he just thought that? That he had fallen in love? He snapped his eyes close again, it was true. He loved this woman, it was why this was so difficult for him. He didn't want another Saiyan's Onna, he wanted his own! But fate hadn't dealt him those cards. He would forever be Chichi's second choice.

It killed him on the inside.

He stayed in the same exact spot for hours, until the children began to arrive from school, they were talking to him, but he hadn't acknowledged them, then future Trunks came home from work. Realizing Chichi wasn't there, and the strange look on his father's face he confronted him. When nothing happened he resorted to stronger methods. Pulling his fist back, he punched Vegeta square in the jaw, sending the older saiyan flying back into the wall.

Vegeta finally snapped out of his thoughts, pulling himself from the rubble that had once been his living room wall.

"Where is she?" Trunks snapped. Vegeta grunted.

"I kicked her out."

Trunks's eyes went wide, his mouth hanging open in shock.

"You…kicked her out? Are…are you crazy!" he screamed, taking off up the stairs he called for Goten and Trunks, whom both came scrabbling down.

"What's up?" Trunks asked his future self.

"Chichi's wondered off." He lied. "We should split up and go find her before it gets too dark." Goten suddenly became worried.

"She wondered off? That's not like mom…" he whispered. Future Trunks sighed before speaking again.

"Yes well, regardless we should go look for her." Suddenly Vegeta was in front of them.

"You're not going anywhere, as a matter of fact Goten you need to…" he was stopped suddenly when future Trunks pushed him. He knew exactly what his father was going to say, he was going to tell Goten to leave the house, kick him out like he had his mother.

"Don't you dare, this is his home now!" Future Trunks screamed. Vegeta gave him a look before walking away his apathy toward the situation growing. It only took Goten a moment to realize what had transpired. Vegeta was going to tell him to leave the house? The only reason he could possibly have for doing that would be if his mother and Vegeta had….then it dawned on him.

"You! What did you do to my mother!" Goten yelled, turning around to run after Vegeta, but Trunks stopped him.

"He's an asshole I know, but we should find your mom first." Goten took a moment to steady his anger and then the three of them took off. It was only after they left that Vegeta noticed Bra standing in the hallway. She had tears in her eyes, and Vegeta motioned for her to come closer, she did rather slowly and he bent to pick her up. This was the only Onna he needed.

"Why are you crying?" he asked slowly. She wiped her tears.

"Did…did you and Miss Chichi have a fight?" she whispered. He sighed, did he really have to talk about this with his little girl?

"Because…if you did have a fight…you should say you're sorry." She said, putting her arms around his neck. He stiffened slightly more at her words then the contact. He should say he was sorry? He hadn't done anything wrong; it was his Onna that had done the wrong. Longing for Kakarrot.

He didn't say anything, just continued to hold Bra, she was mumbling something, but his mind was wondering. Finally he focused for a moment to hear her.

"Momma's gone…and now Miss Chichi…" Vegeta held her tighter for a moment before releasing her, the sight of her was only reminding him that Chichi was pregnant with a little girl. He sighed, he needed to go to bed, before he did something stupid like leave the house to search for her. He didn't want her to come back. In fact if she knew what was good for her she wouldn't come back. What could they have together? He wouldn't be with a woman that didn't want him. He had done that before, and he told himself never again.

Leaving Bra in the hallway to cry on the floor he turned to go to his room, he was exhausted. His mind running in circles, he fell into the bed hard and let sleep calm him finally. Unfortunately for Vegeta, his dreams were not comforting.

*Dream*

It seemed as soon as he closed his eyes someone had slapped him in the face. Low and behold, Kakarrot stood in front of him, his orange gi nearly blinding him.

"What the hell have you done!" Goku screamed, he pointed across the way and Vegeta turned to see Chichi. She was leaning against Kakarrot's grave, soaked to the bone, sobbing. Vegeta almost cringed at the sight, but he couldn't help but think of the irony. She had run off to Kakarrot's grave. Goku frowned.

"I let her stay with you. I told you to take better care of her." Vegeta felt his anger raising.

"I'm Prince Vegeta in case you have forgotten; I take orders from no one."

Goku simple stood there shocked.

"Ya know…sometimes your pride is something to be admired. But most of the time Vegeta, it's a pain in the ass." He walked over to Chichi, and reached out his hand but Vegeta's voice stopped him right before he touched her.

"What are you doing!" he yelled. Goku whipped around.

"You don't want her anymore right!" Goku hissed. Vegeta didn't know what to say, but before he was thinking he grabbed Kakarrot's hand moving it away from Chichi. Goku pulled his hand away, shoving Vegeta back in the process.

"You're a fool Vegeta! It's clear as day how much she loves you! But you let your fear get in the way! Of course I had her first, I'll always have that! But aren't you aware of the fact that you get to have her last! There's no more threats, you're free to live the rest of your miserable life with MY mate! At least, you were going to…but I won't watch you destroy her the way I did. If you don't love her, let her go with me." Vegeta couldn't speak and at his silence Goku continued.

"I'll take her from you, if you don't fight to keep her. I'll take her…and your baby." Goku whispered. His hand lingering over Chichi's head.

*Dream Ends*

Vegeta's eyes snapped open, he had to move fast, he was out the door and flying before his daughter could even utter another word to him, he had taken to the sky. He knew where Kakarrot's grave was, and that would be wear Chichi was, and if he didn't' get to her in time, she would be with him, forever.

And Vegeta couldn't live with that. He loved that woman, and he wouldn't let Kakarrot take her!
