This poem is the product of my own mind (muddled though it may be). The characters are, sadly, not mine. They belong to J.K. Rowling. I just play with them, and bend them to my will occasionally. Occasionally they see fit to take over the story, and then I am at the mercy of their will.

His eyes
By: ~Mikee

I remembered well
During occlumency
The flash of his eyes
The fire of anger
The ice of hate.

I remembered so well
So many things
About his eyes
… I could picture them well
So long ago.

I remembered well
During holidays
The dullness of longing
The squint of suspicion
The pooling of loneliness.

I remembered so well
So many things
About his eyes
… I could picture them well
So very long ago.

I remembered well
With his friends
The glitter of a giggle
The glimmer of a gloat
The sparkle of a full laugh.

I remembered so well
Once upon a time
So many things
About his eyes
… I could picture them well.

I remembered so well
Once upon a time
But once upon a time
… Is gone

The memories
now harsh
Dead stillness of death
Dull hardness of the end
The memories of yesterday

And once upon a time
… Is gone
