~I'm so tired of being here~
~Supressed by all my childish fear~
~And if you have to leave~
~I wish that you would just leave~
~Because your presence still lingers here~
~And it won't leave me alone...~
Jareth knew Sarah....Angel...was shot. He was afraid that even with her newfound immortality that the iron of the bullet would kill her powers, killing her in its stead. She wasn't coming back. He could see her, practising her magic, laughing, yelling "it's not fair!"....he'd have to tell Hoggle. He conjoured a crystal and said into, "Hoggle, come here."
Not long after, Hoggle came through the doors of the throne room, "yer majesty?"
"I'm afraid that Sarah....won't be coming back."
"What? Why?"
"She's dead, Hoggle, she's dead."

Angel opened her eyes. She sat up, and rubbing her chest where a phantom pain still ached. She'd been shot, she knew, but because she wasn't entirely fae, the iron only succeeded in knocking her out while her magic healed her. It took a moment for the noise of War to hit her and when it did she jump up, grabbing ammunition and she ran into the sewer where the fighting had taken itself.
Her eyes fell on Tobias, he and Tony were fighting and Tobias faltered, Tony aimed and Angel yelled, "NO! He is mine!" All fighting stopped. Angel stood there, all weight resting on one leg, tossing a crystal in on hand while a M-79 was held in the other. "I told you I had powers the enemy couldn't fight."
"Angel!" said Tony.
"Thought I was dead, did you?" Angel smiled. "It's not that easy. After all they don't call me Angel Death for nothing. And since you were my little brother once...I'm going to make you forget this."
"Angel? Forget?" Toby whispered.
"My name is Sarah, and I can do better than that." She dropped the gun and tossed her crystal into the air and made it multiply. Power sparked along the edges of everyone's vision as a white out occured and everyone shut their eyes.
'Everything! Everything I've done, I've done for you. You asked that the child be taken, I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I've re-ordered time, I've turned the world upside down, and I've done it all for you. Isn't that generous?'
Sarah blinked. Angel faded away with no more memory than that of a fond smile. The date was 7 years before. The day before the Nationals Attacked. She called up the presidents son, of whom she had a good rapor with. Jarod.

~I held your hand through all of these years~
~You still have...all of me...~
A month and a half later all was well. Sarah saved her country, she had Jarod's affections...wait. She paused in her line of thinking. Jarod, Jareth, Jarod, Jareth...oh shit. Sarah conjoured a crystal, Jareth was sitting on his throne, holding a crystal and obviously brooding. He brought the crystal close to his face before shutting his eyes and casting it away.
It was time to talk to Jarod.
"...and I cast him away." Sarah finished.
"What it seems to me, that you shoudl do," Jarod began, crossing his arms. "Is go to him."
"But you..."
"Will be fine." finished Jarod sternly.
"Jarod, you have no idea how much this means to me."
"When you love someone, you just have to let them go. To make them happy." He kissed her gently. "Good-bye."
Sarah saluted him. "Freedoms way with you." she said slyly allowing the small part of her that was Angel to say good-bye. "Bye Jarod."
She vanished with a non-chalant wave of her hand.

~Your face it haunts, my once pleasant dreams~

Jareth covered his eyes. He wished had had the courage to look upon the one he loved. Sarah. His father and mother, Shadrach and Rhapsody were planning a ball so he could find a wife. He sighed. He resigned himself to the fact that Sarah wasn't coming back.
Sarah appeared in front of the Labyrinth.
"Sarah?" exclaimed Hoggle.
"Hoggle!" She cried. The two friends embraced. "I'm so glad to see you, but I have to find Jareth."
"I's has a plan."
Sarah smiled. "It's good to be home.

Jareth uttered a long suffering sigh as the ladies of the court fawned over him. There were no ladies that interested him. A woman in an owl mask walked up. "May I have this dance?" she asked in a low voice.
"If we must.." sighed Jareth.
"Methinks his majesty is unhappy." she teased gently.
"No...no...it's just that my parents are forcing me to marry my childhood friend. Vireyda." The lady followed Jareth's stare and saw a black haired woman animatedly arguing with Oberon. "She's the Princess of the Faeries."
The lady smiled, amused, "she doesn't look too happy either."
"No, I don't suppose." Jareth said. "While I love Vireyda, there is another woman who holds my heart." The clock struck thirteen and Jareth said, "I must announce my marriage. Good night to you lady."
"Freedom's way with you..."
Jareth turned to face the music.

~I tried to tell myself that you're gone~
~And though you're still with me...~
~I've been alone all along...~
"...I now annouce my marriage to Princess Vireyda of the Faeires. If any Lady here objects to his union..."
"Let her speak now. Please?" added Vireyda from Jareth side.
"I object." The lady with the owl mask said.
"Oh?" Vireyda said keenly. "Why?"
"His heart belongs to another." she said.
"Yes, and that girl is mortal and does not return his feelings." Said Rhapsody.
"How about this...you allow her to speak for herself." The owl mask came off. There stood Sarah. "Boo."
Jareth gasped. "Sarah?"
She conjoured a crystal. "I've brought you a gift."
"What is it?" Jareth asked softly.
Sarah shrugged. "It's a crystal, nothing more, but if you turn it this way, and look into it, it will show you your dreams..." she smiled, "do you want it?" Jareth nodded slowly. "Then forget your marriage." Sarah said with an air of teasing.
He laughed. "If the lady doesnt object..."
Vireyda vemently shook her head, "no objections here!"
Jareth swung Sarah into a dance. "Why all the secrecy."
"I had to be sure you still loved me. If you didn't then I could easily leave and you'd be none the wiser." Sarah whispered in his ear, "I have 3 words for you."
Jareth paused. "I love you."
He laughed.
