Sideswipe: What? ALC! (Glomps)
Alc: Can't…breathe…please let…. go! (Sideswipe lets go)
Sideswipe: Heh heh…sorry!
Alc: That's all right…now…in this chapter Sideswipe (who is in Areia's body) has visions of the future. These visions are actually things I'm going to attempt to put in the sequel…and just to let you know…you may not like me for some of the things that happen to Sideswipe and Areia…and their son.
Sideswipe: (stops hugging an Areia plushie) I…have a son?
Alc: Yes you do and he looks exactly like you…and he's best friends with Aurora, Screamer and Alexis's daughter.
Sideswipe: Wait…isn't Aurora from "New Beginnings"?
Alc: Yep…but she's in the sequel to this too! And she's a fighter…with her mother's mouth and her father's sense of honor. And she can turn into a TF too! Though I'm not exactly sure what yet…I think I'll just make her a jet like her daddy…lol…since she uses a sword.
Sideswipe: So, uh, what's my son's name?
Alc: Well you'll just have to find out now won't you? (Walks away chuckling)
Sideswipe: H-HEY! COME ON TELL MEEEEEEE! PLEASE? (Chases after Alc)
DISCLAIMER: Alc owns nothing! Except for the ideas to this and all of her other stories, as well as what Sideswipe looks like when he's human, and Areia and her TF form which has taken up the name of Barrage. She also owns Sideswipe and Areia's son…and his best and only friend Aurora. AND…she owns Starscream's human form…cause she thought up what he'd look like and stuff.
"No Sideswipe, you need to stay here and watch the Minicons…if anything happens to them or they start acting funny we need someone to report it to us." Areia protested.
"But…" Blurr hastily interrupted her.
"But nothing Sideswipe! You are staying here and that's final do you understand me?" Areia looked at the ground. "I said do you understand me?" Areia looked up and frowned.
"Yeah…I mean yes sir!" Blurr nodded and walked out of the control room leaving only Areia and Blaster.
Areia sighed and sat down at a console.
"I have no slagging idea how to operate this thing…maybe I can get lucky and press a few buttons. But then again, knowing my luck it'd blow up right in my face." Areia sighed again. She noticed Blaster sit down at a console next to her.
Areia thought about telling her adopted dad who she really was but then thought against it and opted instead to try and just act like Sideswipe for the moment. But that didn't mean she couldn't joke with Blaster like she usually did.
"So what'd they lock you up in here for? Stealing the extra energon goodies?" Blaster looked at her and started laughing.
"Nah…actually I took some hard energon liquor from storage and gave it to Bumblebee…he's sorta depressed since Areia's been missin'."
Areia quirked an eyebrow ridge, "You're not serious are you?" Blaster told her that he was serious.
"Bumblebee drinking…hard alcoholic beverages? Wow he must really be worried about me…uh I mean Areia." Blaster looked at Areia suspiciously after her slip up.
He leaned towards her with his elbows on his knees. "So…need a ride?"
Areia looked at his shocked. "Wha-What? What do you mean?" Blaster shook his head.
"I saw how you were acting earlier with Blurr. You wanted to throw him through that console over there. I could tell…I know how my daughter's mind works after all." Areia looked at him, optics wide in surprise.
"What did you just say? A-About your daughter?" Blaster chuckled.
"I said I know how my daughter's mind works. What you didn't think I couldn't tell it was you Areia…you know that you and I have always been the closest out of thefour of us." Areia just sat there slack jawed as he talked.
"But…it's definitely not normal by any means that you and Sideswipe switched bodies or whatever it is that you did." Areia finally got out of her stupor and shook her head.
"That's the only thing that I can think of…so we must have switched bodies. B-But how come you didn't say something sooner?" She asked as Blaster shrugged.
"I dunno…I just didn't think it was the right time…especially not since Blurr was in here. I'm not gonna tell anybody about your 'condition' not even Bumbles and Jazz 'cause then they'll just worry more about ya." Areia nodded.
"Bumbles?" Again Blaster just shrugged. "Thanks Blaster, by saying 'condition' you make me feel like I'm diseased or something…" She and Blaster both laughed.
Areia exited the pod without any trouble and stood on Cybertron's surface. She stood there looking around her in amazement at the planet when she heard two voices coming in her direction. She looked around hurriedly and spied the remains of a wall of some building and ran behind it for cover.
She peaked around it to see two Decepticon scouts. One of the scouts turned to the other and shrugged.
"I don't see anything do you? Lets go goof off and then report back in a few mega-clicks." The other scout nodded and then both scouts walked off.
Areia released a sigh she didn't know she'd been holding. She looked over to her left and saw Rad, Carlos, Alexis, and their respective minicons.
"Uh, hi guys what're you doin' here?" She asked as she chuckled nervously. The three humans froze and turned around slowly to look at her.
Alexis put a hand on her heart. "Don't DO that Sideswipe! We could ask the same of you, ya know!" Areia rubbed the back of her head and smiled sheepishly.
"Well…I'm here to try and find Side-uh I mean Areia. What about you guys?" The kids relaxed.
"We followed the minicons…we want to find out what's going on but nobody will tell us anything!" Declared Carlos as Alexis and Rad nodded in agreement. Areia nodded.
"Tell me about it guys! Well, maybe we can help each other." The kids looked at her puzzled until she started to explain that she could protect them as tried to find answers and she tried to find "Areia".
Sideswipe smiled. "Well…at least I lost squid head. Now I just have to find a way out of here." He said to himself. He peeked around the corner of the strange structure he was hiding behind and saw a small glowing orb like thing.
"What's that? It doesn't look like the rest of this place." He cautiously walked over to the orb and poked it with his finger then cringed back waiting for something to happen. When it did nothing he inspected it closely.
The orb was a purple color and was about as big as a basketball. He put his hand on it and noticed that it felt warm to the touch.
Suddenly it was like a bolt of electricity had gone through him. A white light blinded him as he tried to let go of the orb.
"We're supposed to be meeting the Leader and Second in Command of the Neutrals." Hotshot nodded as two other transformers that Sideswipe didn't recognize ran up to the two. Both bots saluted as one that appeared to transform into some sort of space shuttle talked.
"Optimus, it appears our 'visitors' are being held up by security…apparently they say that the Neutral Leader isn't in a very good mood. They say the guy's seething while his Second in Command is trying to calm him down. Security says the Leader keeps mumbling something about you and almost letting his son die. They'll both be here in a few minutes though." Sideswipe couldn't believe it…this red transformer that turned into a shuttle…was Jetfire!
"What happened to him? Why's he so different?" Thought Sideswipe. The other Autobot next to Jetfire looked at Optimus.
"So do you know what he's talking about Optimus sir?" Optimus looked at the ground and sighed sadly while shaking his head.
"Unfortunately…if it's who I think it is…then I do know what's going on. Just promise me that whatever happens you won't attack him." The other Autobots looked at him strangely but promised.
Suddenly all four turned at the sound of footsteps and saw the Neutral Leader and his Second in Command.
"Oh my Primus…" Thought Sideswipe as he saw who the two were. The other Autobots other than Optimus also stared in shock.
The Neutral Leader was positively furious, which was odd considering that Sideswipe hardly ever got mad at anyone.
"I'M the Neutral Leader and Areia's my Second in Command? What the slag kind of a vision is this?" Sideswipe asked himself as this other him stalked over to Optimus glaring.
Areia was trying to calm him down as they approached.
"You can't do this Sideswipe…you know it's not his fault!" She said. They stopped in front of Optimus as Sideswipe's hands clenched into fists.
"You know that you're more angry with him than I am!" He said to her. Areia looked ready to say something and then looked down at her feet.
Sideswipe cracked his knuckles. "Optimus…it's been a while hasn't it?" He glared as Optimus stared him right in the optics. Jetfire, Hotshot, and the other Autobot looked at the two.
"Yes, yes it has Sideswipe. I…" Optimus sighed and massaged his temples. "Sideswipe…I know that you're probably blinded by rage right now. You always were a very emotional person, and you're an extremely emotional leader. You're soldiers follow your orders with the up most respect and they'd follow you to the ends of the universe if they had to. I know that you probably don't want to here this but…I'm sorry Sideswipe." Sideswipe sighed, his hands still in fists.
"I know Optimus…forgive me for what I'm about to do…" Sideswipe punched Optimus hard in the jaw. The mighty Autobot leader had to take a few steps back so as not to fall over from the powerful blow.
"I'm not going to forgive you Sideswipe…because I deserved that." Sideswipe grabbed Optimus by the shoulders and shook him.
"YOU DAMN SLAGGIN' WELL DO OPTIMUS! MY SON…MY SEVEN YEAR OLD SON ALMOST DIED BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T TAKING CARE OF HIM LIKE YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULD! HE ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF YOU OPTIMUS!" Sideswipe let go of Optimus's shoulders. His arms relaxed at his sides as he looked at the ground, energon tears at the corner of his optics.
"You'd better be glad that I did that and not Areia…I don't know what she would have done but trust me. She wouldn't have stopped at just punching you Optimus."
One was a boy with dark brown almost black hair that was spiked and stuck up at odd lengths. The boy was wearing a blue shirt with a red lightning bolt on the chest, and a pair of blue jeans. Propped up on his head was a pair of rectangle shaped green tinted sunglasses. The boy's eyes were gray, but when he had his glasses on they looked a dark green color.
Standing next to him was a girl. The girl had brown hair that went to her shoulders with the bangs almost going into her eyes. Her eyes were a bright orange color and she was wearing a red t-shirt and a pair of tan pants.
The two teenagers were standing on a cliff overlooking an Autobot city surrounded by forest. The boy was smiling and telling some sort of story, waving his arms to emphasize things, as the girl listened slowly starting to grin.
"And then Jetfire picked it up and took a big drink. He almost immediately spit it out and looked in his cup!" The boy laughed. "You should have seen his face when he saw that mom and dad had replaced his energon coffee with motor oil! Primus it was the best thing I've seen in a while…"
The girl laughed with him and then both grew quiet and stared at the slowly setting sun.
"Hey Blake…do you think Unicron will attack anytime soon? I mean, I know that that Kicker kid says that Alpha Q is a good guy but do you think we can really trust him?" The boy, Blake, shrugged and shook his head.
"Who knows Aurora? My mom and dad as well as yours beat Unicron before…I'm sure that they can beat him again. They have to, otherwise this beautiful planet and everything on it will disappear and we'll be homeless…if not dead."
The girl, Aurora, looked at him as the sun sank lower behind the hills, "Yeah I guess you're right Blake. Maybe I should try to be more optimistic." She chuckled darkly. "Sometimes I'm too much like my dad."
Aurora turned and watched the setting sun. Blake looked at her out of the corner of his eye. Slowly his arm worked its way around her shoulders and he pulled her closer to him. He rested his head on her shoulder as they both watched the sunset.
"You know…that's not always a bad thing Aurora." Aurora smirked and rested her head on top of Blake's.
Sideswipe pulled his hand off of the orb and gasped for air, like he had been holding his breath.
"What the heck was that?" He asked himself as he looked at his hand. A dark voice chuckled behind him.
"Nothing you need to worry about my dear…now, lets get going so that you can see the surprise I have waiting for you!" Sideswipe slowly turned around to find Thrust standing behind him. He glared up at Thrust.
"What sort of surprise? More torture perhaps?" He asked jokingly. "How can I joke at a time like this? I must be going crazy!" He thought.
"Actually if you must know…Unicron has captured your friend Sideswipe and brought him here…apparently he was snooping around the portal trying to find you. Some kids and Hotshot, Wheeljack, and Starscream were nearby but they got away unfortunately. Oh well, there'll be time to plan their demise later. Right now Unicron wants to play with his new…guests."
Thrust laughed evilly as he picked up Sideswipe and carried him into the very center of Unicron's heart.
Sideswipe: So…my son's name is Blake huh? Cool….heh heh and did I sense that he has a crush on Aurora?
Blake: N-No I do not! (Looks at Aurora standing next to him and blushes)
Carl: AYE! THE BLUSH TELLS THE TRUTH MATEY!
Don: Carl…have you been drinking Mountain Dew: Code Red AGAIN?
Carl: No! Hey look it's Areia in a bathing suit! (Points in some random direction)
Don and Sideswipe: WHAT? WHERE? (They run off and try to find her)
Blake: Oh-kay….I'm scared for life now. I mean completely traumatized…utterly. (Looks at Aurora who just sighs and pats him on the shoulder)
Aurora: You think you have it bad you should see my dad whenever he sees me…well speak of the devil! (Starscream walks up and sees Aurora)
Starscream: AAHHHHH! IT'S THE ALEXIS ALMOST LOOKALIKE! (Points threateningly) YOU ARE NOT MY DAUGHTER! Alexis is just my friend! Alexis is just my friend! (Continues chanting, "Alexis is just my friend!" as he walks away)
Blake: (Stares after him) I see what you mean…he's in denial. Poor guy…
Aurora: Oh yeah and what about you!
Blake: I-I have no idea what you're talking about!
Aurora: Oh really…I saw that blush earlier!
Blake: Eeeeeeepppp! (Runs away with Aurora chasing him)
Sideswipe: ! (Chases Areia who is also followed by Don and Carl)
Alc: (blinks then sighs and shakes head sadly) Um, yes anyways…please review. Oh and if anyone reads this and has a website or and account on Deviantart or something and would like to draw pictures of my characters or events in the story…TELL ME! I would really like to see them, and how people envision my characters. I have my own drawings of my characters I just don't have a scanner, otherwise I'd put them on my website! Anyways I'll see you next update!
