Author's Notes: Just a little something that popped into my head over the
summer, and I finished it now. It's my thank-you to the XF.

One was the season of introduction,
Two was the season of abduction.
Three was the season that delved into gore,
Four was the season that brought Scully to Death's door.
Five was the season that ended in fire,
Then the movie brought the faithful a glimpse of our deepest desire.
(Stupid bee!)
Six was the season with the Mulder hair we hate,
Seven was the season that revealed Samantha's fate.
Eight was the season that brought us new friends,
Nine was the season that brought it all to an end.

Chris Carter was the one with the vision,
And his show brought a drastic change to television.
Nine seasons we had with the characters we love,
Birth, death, loss, trust, intervention from above.
The skeptic, the believer, the cop and the seer
Made fighting the good fight their job over the years
We thank DD, GA, RP, and AG for all the hard work they have done,
In our hearts, you will always remain number one.

Thank you, X-Files for 9 wonderful years.
