A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Fan Fiction Poem
By Ella Roberta Reamy

Encased in the earth
A blanket of soil
Nothing left but a tall grey stone
Stone in the sun
Stone in the wind
Stone in the rain, snow, ice
(If cold ever decides to come)
Darkness
I hear from below,
Or am I above?
I hear it all
But cannot feel
Sometimes I see
Brought forth
Fragments of my essence encased
In the memory of a fire-haired,
Lonely, lovely mourner
I once held so dear
I still hold so dear
But all they see
And all they feel
Is grief, love,
And the tall grey stone
That bears my name
Is all that is left of me.
