Disclaimer: Roswell doesn't belong to me. If it did, they'd concentrate less on Liz and Max. Rights go to Jason Katims, etc.

Notes: Not a huge fan of Max/Liz, but can't deny that they love each other.

He was afraid to tell her what he remembered. It wasn't that he feared shed react badly. He knew she wasn't like that. Maybe he was afraid of what would happen if she was pleased. Or if she remembered, too.

Which she did. She moved closer to him, whispering in his ear. And then he touched her cheek- just like he did in their past life. And he remembered her touch. And her smell. And he had to see if her lips tasted the same.

Recreating their first kiss.

Only it wasn't their first kiss on this life. Max remembered kissing Tess in the rain. But this was completly different. Then, he'd had Liz on his mind. He was worried about who Tess was. Worried that she'd put a spell on him.

Now, he knew.

They had their destiny.

Now, kissing her felt like home.

He saw the moons again. But they were no longer blurry. Just like Tess had said. iClearer than anything on this earth/i

Kissing Tess was different from kissing Liz. Kissing Tess was like breathing. Or not breathing. When you look back on your life, it seems odd to think you've been breathing all along, without realizing. It's natural to you.

And kissing Tess was only natural. He'd done it in a past life. And it felt like it was what his lips, his body, his heart, was missing all these years.

Like it or not.
