"The water is perfect," Mayura sighed, falling back into the school pool. "Come in! I have swimming trunks for you!"

"You know I dislike water." Loki replied complacently, settled against a tree with his book. "Please, enjoy yourself. I'll stay here."

'Disliked' was a mild word for Loki's feelings regarding water. 'Loathed', 'despised', and 'hated' were much closer. But then, he was the Norse god of fire - what use did he have for water?

Which was probably why Heimdall, who was sitting in the tree, found dumping a pail of water on Loki's head at that exact moment so amusing.
