Kurenai does not love Hinata. She does not think that Hinata is beautiful and tragic and amazing. She does not think that Hinata is a childish goddess with moonlit moonlight white eyes and sleek white legs and rough ebony silk for hair. She does not wonder what Hinata's mouth tastes like or whether her hair ever smells like the shampoo Kurenai shares with her sometimes at the baths. And when they are in the baths, Kurenai does not look at Hinata's small breasts or her thin arms or her muscles as they move under her skin.
