The Brotherhood of Mutants were sitting boredly in the living room of the boarding house, listening to Mysique give them the information about their new assignment. Apparently, they were traveling to the borderline of India and Tibet the next day and attempting to recruit another mutant to join them. But so far, they didn't know anything about the mutant. "The mutant is actually a work-alone assassin from the military corporation, Shadowloo." Mystique continued. Lance, who was slumped on the couch, raised his hand halfway in the air. "What?"
"Wasn't Shadowloo destroyed five years ago after the government found out what was going on in the labs there?"
"Yes. She was an experiment that had apparently gone haywire and escaped. There-"
Mystique was cut off by Pietro.
"Uh, did you say 'she'?"
"Yes, Quicksilver, the assassin is female. Now SHUT UP!" All the boys decided, for the benefit of their own good health, they wouldn't ask anymore stupid questions. "Like I was saying, there is is very little information known about her. She changes her code name and her style of attack after each mission, therefore, she's nearly untraceable. The only thing that our intellegence has gathered about her is that the most recent name she went under was Ravenwolf, and she was last spotted somewhere in the Himalaya mountain range. She's known to launch her attacks at midnight and so far, no matter who it was, she's never failed a mission. Her last few kills were eviscerated, decapitated, and 'had their throats ripped out', as you would say." Mystique paused to see the mixed looks of amazement and probably a little bit of fear on the boys' faces. She finished by saying, "We leave to go to the airport tomorrow at noon. I'll expect to see you all packed and ready to leave. If you're not, rest assured that heads will roll." With this said, she stormed out of the house, slamming the front door behind her. "Or heads will roll." Pietro mocked in a squeaky, high pitched voice, breaking the tense, uneasy silence. They all laughed quietly as the got up to go pack their things.

The next morning was total hell. Apparently, Mystique arrived thirty minutes early and was feeling bitchier than usual. Todd was worried that he packed too much, Pietro was worried that he didn't pack enough, even though he already had nearly two suitcases and a backpack full, Freddie was eating more than usual, and Lance didn't even bother to pack the night before, so all the while he was packing, Mystique was yelling at him at the top of her lungs. Yet they got to the airport on time, and in 32 to 33 hours they changed planes in Spain, and they landed quite a while later in Nepal, a small landlocked country high in the Himalayas. From what Mystique had said, Ravenwolf's last victim had been a lieutenant in the Royal Nepalese Army and they had permission to enter the base and interrogate. "Alright, listen up you pathetic group of idiots." Mystique said as they came to the car that was waiting for them outside the airport. "When we get to the base, I don't want you to touch anything or go anywhere. Disobey me, and I will personally castrate the one who dares do it. Is that clear?" The four teens nodded, eyes wide. Halfway to the base, Pietro turned to Lance and, being the chatter box that he was, began to ask every question he could think of. "Why do we have to do this?"
"Dunno."
"Well, it seems pretty dumb to me. I mean, if this chick is still somewhere in these mountains, how are we gonna find her?"
"Dunno."
"And, don't you think the X-Geeks would have found her already? And if they did, don't ya think it's a more likely possibility that she'd join them than us?"
"I guess."
"Will ya gimme a real answer for once? Because I think-"
"SHUT UP!" Mystique roared. Her extremely short patience had been pushed to it's limits, and having to deal with Pietro's senseless jabber would annoy even the most patient of people. After ten more minutes of riding in silence, they finally reached the main enterance to the royal army base. When the guard came to the car, Mystique rolled the window down and the two of them began a conversation in Nepali. They four boys watched in awe. They had no idea that Mystique spoke any other language besides english. After a few minutes of listening, they were interupted from their amazed revery by Mystique's voice. "Alright, morons. From this point on, I don't want any of you out of my sight, understand?" Everyone agreed and Mystique drove the car through the gate when opened. An hour later, they left the base and went to the hotel. The only information they had gained was a video tape with a single image of the mysterious Ravenwolf, which the investigators could not make any of the picture out since the assassin was almost fully covered in shadow. After that scene, she had apparently noticed the security camera and had destroyed it with what looked like a blast of black energy. Apparently, Ravenwolf was just as untraceable as everyone claimed she was.
