Just a little thing I thought up while seeing Return of The King.

But A Day

With silver circlets in his hair he waited for the time to bow to the new
King.
In splendors of silver and purple threads he looked but a day older.
But a day older as if it were by the rising of the moon or by the setting
sun, it did not matter.
Only from witch he became wiser.
Wiser as if he no longer looked around with fervor at the trees and the
mountains as if they were his.
But now they belonged to them all and soon, he would have no stake or claim
to the red earth or blue water.
For the sea called to him as if it was some great beast.
And now, he could no longer fight this battle and win like the others of
older time.
So strong he had been when he kept silent, to himself, always the watcher
and never stirring.
Now his own emotions were stirring and it would not be long before he would
no longer be innocent of the world.
He was no longer a Prince with the silver spoon, but a warrior of another
age.
A dying age.
And so he would sit upon the ships bow and rethink the days of old and
battle.
Cherishing the moments and hardships, for they were his last of Middle
Earth.
