Motoko Aoyama: New fic! This is so fun, completing my first fic then writing another one in its place! If you've read Sakura, Syaoran and the Silli Island, then don't expect this fic to be like that one. This fic is WAY more SERIOUS. Yes, with that said, let's start.

Disclaimer: I don't own CCS, or any of its characters.

Background: A long time ago in a place far away, there was a pitiful land ruled by a corrupted government. Li Syaoran, the legendary assassin with the twin swords, helped the rebels pave a road to a new government through endless bloody murders. The government set out to arrest him, but to no avail. No government official alive had seen his countenance for all who could recognize him were dead. Kinomoto Fujitaka volunteered to stop the rebels for the government and was the greatest threat to the rebel forces then, but who could stop the greatest assassin, Li?

LEGEND OF THE TWIN SWORDS

Prologue

A dark figure stepped towards the old temple as the cold autumn breeze swept up the fallen leaves. His steps were so light that no one was aware of his presence. In each of his hands was a greenish bronze sword, with its blade wrapped tightly by a piece of worn gray cloth. We can only see his back: brownish hair swaying slightly in the wind above a dark green cloak that blew from side to side with the breeze.

" You can not hide from me, Matsushita Ichiro," the dark figure spoke.

" Yoshi? What are you talking about?" Ichiro, an official to the government who just had his house raided by the rebel forces, spoke.

" I'm not Yamamoto Yoshi, Matsushita," the figure spoke again.

" Then, then," Ichiro stuttered.

" I led the rebels to your house. I killed your entire family. I burnt down your house. Now I will kill you," the figure said calmly.

" How could you! I will kill you to take revenge!" Ichiro yelled as he picked up a dagger.

" How can you kill me, coward? When your wife died under my blade, you were running to this temple in fear! Before you die, I might as well tell you who I really am," the figure spoke in dignity.

" I don't care who you are! I will kill you!" Ichiro screamed as he swung his dagger at the dark figure.

" A dagger is for suicide, not for fighting with me," the dark figure said as he flicked the flat side of the dagger, making it slip out of Ichiro's hand.

" You don't stand a chance," the dark figure spoke as he kicked the dagger up into the air, and then hit it with one of his swords that was still wrapped in the gray cloth.

The dagger went right through Ichiro's body as he fell to the ground.

" I'm not Yamamoto Yoshi, I am Li Syaoran, the assassin with the twin swords," the figure spoke with a menacing tone as Ichiro died.

Li Syaoran left the temple without another word. As he stepped out of the temple, a big white bird landed on his hand. A note was tied to the bird's leg.

Li read the note aloud.

" Kinomoto Fujitaka," the name echoed in the autumn breeze.
