LEGEND OF THE TWIN SWORDS
Epilogue
Many years have passed when Masaki Tenshi treaded happily on that same path that Sakura and Syaoran had treaded so long ago. Tenshi was on a field trip to investigate the truth behind the Great Rebellion all those years ago. It was said that a brave man named Li Syaoran had helped Suzuki Kenichi and Watanabe Hiroshi defeat the imperialists with his bronze swords. He was also the one who entrusted the military power to Hiiragizawa Eriol who later defeated Emperor Suzuki and established a democratic system in which the people ruled the land, thus ending the terrible years of civil war that had tormented the land for many, many years. Although Tenshi's parents constantly complained about how rotten the government was and all that, she was silently glad that this great man Li Syaoran had done such a thing. At least, they were living at peace for the present moment. That was quite a relieve. However, Tenshi had not the chance to meet this great man again, because not only would he have been long dead, but also he had left soon after the rebellion, never to be seen again. The only item he left behind were the two bronze swords on the eastern part of the land.
" So these are the two swords," Tenshi said as she stepped up to where the swords stood, held by the rocky sheath beneath them. The long years of rain and wind and made a fine layer of green rust on the bronze surfaces, but as Tenshi rubbed off the rust, she could see the perfectly carved cherry blossoms and wolves on the two swords.
" They are such beauties! Why did he leave them behind?" Tenshi asked the wind. Looking up, she saw a single cherry blossom petal get carried by the breeze into the distance. She chased after it, coming to the edge of a great ocean that lay quietly before her.
" I understand now. He had left his past behind, for a future in a dreamland far away..."
Motoko Aoyama: Well, so this is coming to an end! Please leave your last comments behind! Thanks for your support and hopefully I'll come back to write another CCS story in the future! Replacing this story is "Choose Again" a Shin/Kei "Love Hina" fanfiction!
