DANCING FLAMES

In the wakes of the full moon,

Petals from the sakura tree fall,

Into where the lotus blooms,

The ripples grew and reaching the edge,

They touched the green plain.

And there in the middle,

An icy fire lit,

Its golden flames dancing,

Dancing to the whispers of the wind,

Dancing to the rhythm of the rivers.

And its heat grazes nothing,

The burning itself a roaring beauty,

So enticing, so enchanting, so enthralling,

As it continues to dance,

Against the dark of night,

Under the silver rays.
