My name is Prue Halliwell. I’m 17 and in the 11th grade in high school. I’m the popular cheerleader that all the girls envy. But there is nothing to envy about me, if only they knew what was beneath my confidence and beauty. I bet if they walked in my shoes for one day, they would be wishing they were dead. But no one knows what goes on beyond the happiness in school, none of them know what goes on in the hell they call home. As they always say, never judge a book by its cover...
It all began when my mother married Joe a year ago. Grams passed away 2 years ago. My father left when my mom was pregnant with my youngest sister, Phoebe. Well, anyway, my mother met Joe and fell in love with him. They married and he got along well with me and my sisters. But soon that changed, he began to drink and boss my mother around a lot. I never really paid much attention because I would go out and party with Phoebe and Piper would go to the library a lot and study. But when I would come home, mom would always seem miserable and on verge of crying. I didn’t really care much since I was so tired from partying and just go run up to my bed and sleep. Boy, do I wish I paid more attention to mom then. She died a couple months ago, Joe said that a drunk driver hit her but now I know better. You want go walk down Prue’s little memory lane? Alright, you asked for it..
Prue is driving her sister’s to their first day of school. She parks in her usual spot and they get out of the car. Piper quickly gets out of the car and walks towards the school with no on paying attention to her. Phoebe steps out of the car wearing a halter top and short shorts. Guys all turn their heads and come over to Prue’s car.
“Hey, Prue, is this your sister?” One of the guys ask as Prue gets out of the car.
“Yup, this is Phoebe. Hands off.” Prue snaps as she catches a guy looking at Phoebe’s behind. She was always protective of her little sisters.
“Aw, come on Prue. They weren’t hurting anyone!” Phoebe said as bats her eyelashes at the guys. Prue laughs and flips her long black hair behind her ears.
“So Prue, what’ca doing tonight” A guy named Mark says as he leans in close to Prue. She loved to flirt with guys, that’s where Phoebe learned it from.
“Depends, why?” Prue said playing hard to get. More guys walk over to talk to Phoebe and Prue as other girls look at them jealously.
“Well, there’s a party tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to be my date.” Mark said grinning down at her. Prue pretends to think about it for a minute.
“Of course!” Prue said with a giggle as the warning bell rang. Prue grabs Phoebe by the arm and drags her away from the crowd of guys.
“Hey Prue! Is your sister going too?!” One guy called after them.
“YEAH!!” Phoebe called back as Prue pulled her into the school. They both giggled as they walked to their lockers which weren’t too far from each other.
“Do you think Joe is going to let us go?” Phoebe asked as she grabbed her books.
“Why not? I mean mom would let us go to parties all the time.”Prue said as she shut her locker. A guy walked by and slapped Phoebe on the butt. Phoebe just giggled and slapped him lightly on the arm. Her smile faded as she turned back to Prue.
“But mom’s not here anymore.” Phoebe said quietly as she felt her eyes sting with tears. Prue sighed sadly and hugged her little sister.
“Yeah, well, I don’t think it will be much different. I mean he has to let us go.” Prue said and looked at her watch. “Time to go to class.” Prue said and Phoebe looked down the hall and saw one of her friends.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you once we get out right?” Phoebe said as she got little excited butterflies in her stomach. It was her first day of high school and was looking forward to seeing a lot of cute guys. Prue smiled and nodded her head. Phoebe ran to meet her friend and they walked to class together.
“Hi Prue.” A guy said from behind Prue. Prue turned around and her face lit up.
“Andy!!” She exclaimed. Andy was a year older than her and secretly had a crush on her. Prue secretly liked him too but they didn’t show their feelings to each other.
“Can I walk you to your class?” He asked with a smile. His smile always made Prue want to melt right then and there. She smiled back and nodded.
Hey, I’m Piper Halliwell. I’m 15 and nothing like my sisters. They are popular and have guys drooling over them. Me, I’m just the weird nerdy kid in the back of the room. Phoebe is a stuck up snob who doesn’t pay any attention to anyone’s feelings. She’s always wanting to fit in and does anything to do so. Prue is nothing like that. She’s a angel, everything she does comes naturally to her. She doesn’t have to try hard to fit in, she is so jovial and naturally beautiful that its impossible for a guy to fall for her. Prue is one great person, no one can hate her. Well, that’s before the whole Joe thing happened. If only Prue had told me, she would be the same jovial Prue as before. But she didn’t tell me, and her whole world came crashing down..
Piper was sitting in class already when other classmates filed in. She sighed at the thought of having another day in lame high school. A cute guy sat in the seat next to her. She was amazed that someone would actually sit next to her, let alone a cute guy!
“Hi, my name is Leo Wyatt.” He introduced himself to her. Piper smiled as she turned red. She straightened her glasses and fixed her hair a little. “What’s your name?” Leo asked with a smile on his face.
“P-P-Pi –“Piper began to stutter until one of the girls in the class tried to mimick her.
“P-P-P-Pizza face. Her name is P-P-Pizza Face Piper.” A girl said as the whole class roared in laughter except for Piper and Leo. Piper’s eyes grew watery as ran out of the class in tears. The laughter of the class room followed her all the way down the hall. As she ran into the bathroom Phoebe came out and looked after Piper confused.
“Piper?” Phoebe called inside the bathroom. Piper’s sobs echoed in the bathroom as she locked her self in her usual stall. “Piper, what’s wrong??” Phoebe asked as she leaned against the stall door.
“Why can’t I be like you and Prue? Why can’t I be popular, and have guys crawling all over me like you guys do?!” Piper sobbed. Phoebe sighed and rolled her eyes.
“Piper, we’ve been over this. It’s not that you are ugly, it’s just you just let your self go and then complain that you are ugly.” Phoebe said with a bit of annoyance in her voice. Piper swung the stall door open and glared at Phoebe with her eyes red from crying.
“I didn’t say I was ugly. But thanks for the info sis.” Piper said coldly as she stormed out of the bathroom. She ran into Leo who was coming for her.
“Are you okay??” He asked her looking into her red eyes. He put his hand on her arm and she felt as if her body went to jello. She collapsed but Leo caught her before she hit the floor.
“Sorry, yeah I’m okay.” Piper said in a shaky voice. She looked into his green eyes and she suddenly felt a little bit more calmer.
“Uh, you want to get out of here?” He asked her with a grin.
“I never ditched class before.” She said with a laugh. But then she saw Phoebe coming out of the bathroom and towards her. “Uh,on second thought. Let’s go.” Piper said quickly as she pulled him to the exit doors.
“PIPER!!” Phoebe yelled after her sister. She rolled her eyes and just walked back to class.
Hello there! Phoebe Halliwell here. I just started high school and girls hate me. It’s not my fault that guys like me more than them! But I don’t care what they say, what I think is what counts. Now Piper, there’s a girl with issues. She is a huge drama queen that needs Prue to come to her rescue 24/7. Sometimes I’m even embarrassed to have her as a sister! Prue is sometimes cool, I mean sometimes she gets pushy when you hurt Piper or mess with her family. But other than that she’s really cool, she takes me to parties and she’s the fun one who I can chill with. All Piper does is study all day, fun to her is watching a documentary on Fossils or something! But I never knew what was happening to Prue and Piper until it was too late. I finally respected them both when it was too late, because I was next...
When she walked into the classroom guys whistled her. “Shake that thang!!” A guy yelled out. Phoebe just laughed it off as the girls gave her dirty looks. Phoebe paid no attention to the girls and just winked at the guys.
“Miss Halliwell, please take your seat.” The professor ordered. Phoebe rolled her eyes and did as she was told. As the class resumed, a note was passed to her. Phoebe opened the note and read it.
Phoebe, wanna go to the party with me? Greg (The dude with the red shirt)
Phoebe looked up from the note and looked for a guy in a red shirt. She spotted him and he smiled at her. Phoebe smiled and waved at him.
“Miss Halliwell.” The professor roared as Phoebe snapped her head back to him. He was clearly very angry with her and losing his patience. But Phoebe didn’t care, She was getting asked out by a cute guy. The professor walked up to Phoebe and snatched the note out of her hands.
“Hey that’s mine!” Phoebe shouted as she stood up to him. The professor motioned her to sit down. She pouted and sat in her seat angrily.
“Phoebe,” The professor began to read the note aloud. “Want to go to the party with me? Greg (the dude with the red shirt)” The professor finally finshed. He looked down at Phoebe and she glared at him.
“What do you have to say for yourself Miss Halliwell?” The professor said.
“I would say: Sure, I’ll go with you Greg.” Phoebe said smartly as she smiled back at Greg. The class cracked up in laughter as Phoebe gave the professor a mischievous grin.
