Chapter 13: On Target

It had been two weeks since any major events had happened. But to Optimus Prime, he knew that it was only a matter of time before the Decepticons would attempt something. During that time, Sally had used the Autobots radio transmitter to contact most of other freedom fighters groups scattered around the planet. She still had a few more to contact, but most of them were now aware of the situation at hand, and were given the run down on the Transformers. The Dinobots were still with the Comm-tech fighters, although not under choice by Grimlock.

The damaged Autobots, Warpath, Springer, Burn-Up, Wreckage and such were now fully operational. Even Omega Supreme was near fully functional status, bar a few more repairs to his body armour and such. Sally was also healed, her arm no longer needing a cast.

With repairs on the Omega Sentinel almost finished, Optimus Prime had recalled Hoist back to Auto-base. The Autobot leader briefed the engineer. “Hoist, I’ve called you back to base because we need your skills. As you know, the war with the Decepticons has begun anew. In order for victory and peace throughout the galaxy, we will require increased fire power. Since forming the alliance with the inhabitants of this planet, Princess Sally has been requesting that a new Targetmaster suit be constructed for use, and although I disagree with the idea of bringing her people into battle, I have to at least agree with her request.”

“I understand, Optimus.” Hoist replied.

“I require you and First-Aid to create a prototype Targetmaster suit.”

“Yes sir. I still have all of Spike’s original plans for the Headmaster and Targetmaster suit construction, so producing one quickly should not be a problem. What will be a problem is obtaining certain parts.”

“It appears that it is the enemy of Sally and Sonic holds the upper hand there, as he has a factory that produces such things. However, they have a spy located within the city. It is possible that this spy could locate suitable parts for use in the construction.”

“That would be most helpful. I’ll get suitable material gathered from around the base to begin construction immediately. Once I have all the available parts, I will make a list of certain parts that may be needed.” Hoist left Optimus alone.

Things at Robotropolis on the other hand, weren’t running as smoothly. Snively had failed to meet the deadline to finish both the Targetmaster SwatBots, and the Targetmaster suits. And the Hyenas were there too, however, not a guests. Robotnik was keeping them in his prison cells during the 2 weeks, and Slash was ready to rip the dictators throat out.

Galvatron also grew impatient. Two weeks has passed, and no attack on the Autobots had commenced. Galvatron was not one for waiting, he had waited many millennia to defeat his enemies and nothing had come of it. He wanted them destroyed, and as quickly as possible.

The Decepticon leader gotten fed up of waiting to see what Robotnik was planning, now he wanted to find out. The huge robot grabbed the door to the laboratory room and ripped it off it’s hinges. “I grow extremely impatient waiting for this “idea” of yours doctor! You’ve had two weeks and I’ve seen nothing other then a bunch of fur creatures you’ve been keeping in your prison. I want results, AND NOW!”

“And so you shall have them, Galvatron. I’ve just sent two of your troops to bring me one of the so called “fur creatures” to come and experiment on my creation.”

“And what creation would that be?” Galvatron asked. He had been kept in the dark over the creation of the Targetmaster suits. He hated the use of organic life forms cohabitating a Transformer.

Pressing a button on his control chair, a command went to a SwatBot unit to come forward and reveal itself. Standing in all it’s glory, it was the first of the finished 20 Targetmaster-SwatBot. Standing around 8 feet tall, it sported numerous additions compared to the standard SwatBot, side arms, upgrades to it’s systems. This one was slightly different to the others produced, being the first to roll off the assembly line, It sported a black and sliver colour scheme, were as the normal ones were just like the standard SwatBots, blue. And a major difference was Robotnik had decided to make this one the Commander of all Targetmaster-SwatBots.

Galvatron seemed unimpressed with this, not knowing what it could do. “So, you’ve merely upgraded your pathetic SwatBots. Two weeks of waiting have produced this?”

“You really are hard to please, aren’t you Galvatron?” The dictator turned to his latest creation. “Commander, transform.”

The Commander TargetBot machine blasted off into the sky towards Galvatron with the aid of rocket boasters located at the back of the unit. While in mid-air, it began it’s transformation process, shifting shape from robotic unit to hand weapon for the average Transformer. Grabbing the weapon, Galvatron looked at it. “Impressive. I miss judged you. You’ve actually created a Targetmaster that does not need an organic to inhabit it. Expendable cannon fodder for us to use, with a robotic form to battle against your enemy, and with the addition of a weapon mode for my Decepticon troops to use in battle.” He examined the weapon further.

“Each Targetmaster-SwatBot is equipped with 3 different firearms in weapon mode. Laser blast, flamethrower and high explosive grenade. You can choose between each mode by simply commanding the TargetBot.”

Slash was brought into the room, followed closely by Rumble and Soundwave. Rumble shoved the Hyena as he lagged on, making Slash growl angrily. He spun around, snatching the weapon the Decepticon tape warrior held and pointed at Rumble “Don’t ever touch me.” He threw the weapon back at Rumble. “Ever!”

Galvatron chuckled lightly. “Now I know why you brought those fur creatures here. To give me some target practice.”

“You think wrong, Galvatron.”

“Gonna rip your goddamn throat out!” Slash yelled at Robotnik as he walked over to him, bearing his claws and teeth. “Lock me and my guys up will ya? I’m gonna slash your damn eyes out and eat what’s left organic in you’re fat, podgy body!”

“Yes, yes. I’ve been hearing you say that for the last two weeks, Slash.” Robotnik started to walk towards the Hyena gang leader. “But, if I wanted you dead, don’t you think I would have had you killed long ago?”

“Maybe, but that still don’t mean I’m not gonna kill ya!” Slash swiped at Robotnik, just missing him. With this slip up, the dictator grabbed Slash’s wrist with his bionic fist and started to crush it.

Slash dropped to his knee and grunted. Robotnik put more pressure, causing more pain, but not enough to actually break the wrist. With his free hand, Slash grabbed the attacking arm and ran his razor sharp claws down it, making sparks fly out in all directions. With his other hand, Robotnik grabbed Slash and pulled him forward slightly, Robotnik then launched him across the room. Slash came crashing down on the floor. The whole show was amusing for Galvatron to watch, seeing the sheer power of this human.

“If you try to attack me again, Slash, I’ll kill you personally and robotize all your lackeys. Now, if you can pay attention and shut up for a few moments, allow me to explain.” He circled the fallen Hyena, keeping a close eye on him, just in case Slash would have another go at attacking him. “It must be difficult, trying to cause havoc among those who still have yet to meet fate at my hands. You and your lackeys barely get by as it is. No advanced weapons. Your hover-cycles are constantly breaking down. So you usually have to hit the families you come by or such.”

Slash cut him off. “How the hell do you know about that?”

“I make it my business to know. Now shut up.” After a few seconds of silence, Robotnik carried on. “Imagine being able to wipe out an entire group of resistance fighters. Not only would it help me, but you’d also profit from all the left over valuables, and anything else you can find useful. Of course, in your current state, you’d be run over with ease against any group of the resistance you’d try to destroy.”

Slash thought about it quickly. “Yeah? What about it? You gonna deck us out weapons and shit?”

“In a way, you could say that.” Robotnik had the prototype Targetmaster suit brought out by some WorkerBots. “This is what you’ll be using.”

Robotnik pressed a button on the machine allowing it’s chest cavity opened and it leaned forward, allowing easy access for the user to enter. Slash examined the weapon, walking around it. “Pretty slick.” He noticed the entrance and climbed up inside the machine. There was a harness and a safety guard to limit movement of the body to prevent injury, which he secured himself with. Once he was tightly fitted within, Slash pulled the chest cavity shut. Once inside, a screen lit up in front of him, allowing him to see everything directly in front of the suit. But now, he was clueless. He had simply guessed everything he had just done, but didn’t want to press anything. “How the bloody hell do I move this thing?”

“You’ll notice two control sticks to your side. They are used to move the arms of the suit.” As Robotnik said, there were two control sticks. Slash lifted them and the machine’s arms did as told. There was also several buttons on the sticks, for use to fire the weapons located on the side of the arms. It wouldn’t do much if Slash would press them anyway. The weapons at this point were disarmed. “To move the machine by it’s legs, all you have to do is move your own. You’ll notice your legs are connected to the machine now. This is for the suit to read your leg move within an instant.”

Slash tried it out by taking a few steps forward. It suit worked so easily, making it perfect. “Damn this thing is freaking great!”

“Follow me.” Robotnik ordered. “It’s time for a weapons test.”

After a few hours of checking the base for suitable parts for construction of a Targetmaster suit, Hoist returned to Optimus with a list of required parts. “I have all the parts needed for the body construction, it’s the onboard computer that needs components. I think that if we use certain Mobian technology integrated with our own, it will make piloting the suit much more easier for the wearer.”

“That’s an excellent idea Hoist.” Sally replied. She was with Optimus before Hoist arrived. “I’m sure if you provide Nicole with the information on making the suit, she could determine what Mobian technology is needed.”

Sally handed Nicole over to Hoist, before turning her attention back to Optimus. “Please, Optimus. I believe with his help this could end the war quickly and without needed causalities.”

“I understand what you are saying Sally, but the war ended for Cerebros back on Nebulos over 1,000 years ago. Just because he’s an Autobot, I cannot command him to give up what he believes in. He is a pacifist and doesn’t want to relive war.”

“Well then what about his body? If he doesn’t want to relive war, can’t we use his Headmaster body? I’m sure that we can create a drone Headmaster suit to connect with it, allowing us to control it.”

Prime quickly thought about it. “Well, that body was not part of his original form. I suppose we could require it and created a drone Headmaster like you said. I’ll have to think further about this, but if we could at least get the body of Fortress Maximus, we have a better chance on the battlefield.”

“Well, Nicole’s finished the list of compatible components. Fast computer you have Sally.” Hoist handed Sally back her personal computer. “If you could get the parts, First-Aid and myself could finish off the suit with the help of Rotor since he knows much about your world's technology.”

“I’m certain Charles will at least have some of these parts in his lab. All we need now is a speedy delivery service to get them for us.”

Sonic and the rest of the Knothole gang were in the communication room listening to the song from one of Blaster’s favourite groups ‘Paradise City’ from the 20th Century Earth bang ‘Guns ‘N Roses’. The track had been selected by Blaster because Sonic wanted a song he could play his recently built guitar on, due to his original guitar being destroy at Knothole. Blaster had filtered out the guitar playing from within the song so everyone could hear Sonic playing.

“I tell ya, that Suga-hog certainly knows how to play on that there thing.” Bunnie was amazed how quickly Sonic picked up on the song, being able to play it from beginning to end after a few hours of practising.

With the song ended, everyone within the room applauded Sonic. “Man, I dig your playing.” Jazz was totally impressed. “I ain’t ever heard anyone that can play that song like that before!”

“Thank you, thank you. I am great, I know.” Sonic bowed before his so-called adoring fans. “And now, this song I’d like to play is something I’ve been working on for a while, it’s called…”

Before the Hedgehog could finish his sentence, Optimus Prime with Sally on his shoulder entered the room, followed closely by Wreckage, Burn-Up, Ricochet and Rapid-fire. Raising his hand, Sally jumped onto it and Prime set he down on the floor. “Sonic” Sally got his attention straight away “I need you to run off to the city and pick up a few things from Uncle Chuck.”

“How urgent is it, Sal?” Sonic still wanted to play for the others, but if it were important, then he’d have to go.

“Not too urgent” She smiled at him “But I would be very thankful if you could do it now.”

Sonic chuckled lightly and placed his guitar to the side. “I’d like to say sorry to all my fans, but this show has to end early.” Jazz and Bunnie groaned in disapproval and booed mockingly.

“I’ll have four of my troops escort you to the edge of the forest. They’ll be able to see if you get in any trouble and can provide some support if you run into any danger.” Prime suggested the idea. While four troops seemed small, they were four of the best shooters the Autobots had.

“Thanks Prime, but I think I’ll be able to dodge anything that Robuttnik and the Rejecticons can throw my way.”

“I don’t doubt it, Sonic, but still take them along with you. You never know what will happen now.”

Sonic quickly glanced at Sally. She nodded in approval with Prime’s idea. “Ah, okay then.”

“Excellent.” Prime turned to Rapid-fire. “I’m leaving you in command of the others, Rapid-fire.” The warrior nodded with Prime’s order.

“Here.” Sally handed Sonic a watch like device. He looked at it, not totally impressed. “That’s a wrist communicator, it will allow you too keep in contact with both Wreckage and Rapid-fire.”

“All right then.” Sonic looked up at the two bots. “Come on guys, let’s roll. Just don’t be expecting any action.”

“Awww. None what so ever?” Wreckage sounded disappointed.

“Don’t sound too bummed out Wreck.” Rapid-fire replied as he switched modes from robot to fire truck. “I’m sure we’ll be stuck in the thick of it. Knowing this little guy, trouble seems to look for him. Or vice-versa. Okay boys, transform.”

Wreckage, Burn-Up and Ricochet changed forms to their respective alternate modes. When that was done, they all revved up their engines, and Sonic started on a fairly slow paced run. “And follow his lead.” Rapid-fire commanded…

Slash laughed like a maniac as he blasted away at the targets provided for him. Each one was cut down to scrap, fast and effectively. Robotnik and Galvatron watched on in amusement. Although Galvatron despised the Targetmaster process, he had a slight change in mind after seeing Slash in action with the suit. This Hyena had a bloodlust much more suiting to the Decepticon cause then any of the Nebulons over 1,000 years ago.

“Damn, is there anything this thing can’t do?” Slash asked. He pressed a button on the console directly in front of him, switching the weapons from standard rounds to flamethrower. Slash tried it out, totalling the targets and burning them to molten slag. “CHRIST! I bloody love this bastard machine!”

“I take it you like your little present then.” Robotnik said as he watched Slash eliminate. “Then you agree to the proposition.”

“Shit, if you can get the rest of my guys these little babies, we’ll agree with anything you say!”

“Excellent.” Robotnik grinned with delight.

On the edge of the Forest, where Robotropolis was in sight, Sonic and his companion Autobots arrived. Sonic skidded to a stop, raising some dust while the bots turned to robot mode. “Kay, guys. That’s my stop. You guys just hang here and… Do whatever you guys do when you got nothing to do. I’ll be back faster then you can blast a Decepticon from the sky and use his body for junk parts.”

Sonic left them standing there on their own. “Smug little thing, isn’t he?” Burn-Up took his side arm and held it while leaning against a tree.

“He can handle this himself.” Rapid-fire said. “Let’s just be on the ready if he needs us.”

Wreckage opened a small compartment on his right leg and remove some items. “Hey, any of you guys wanna play the ‘Legends of Cybertron: TCG’?”

Rapid-fire looked around at Wreckage with a slight pause. “You actually play that game?”

“Oh, yeah!” Ricochet also look out some of the ‘Legend of Cybertron: TCG’ cards. He too, was a fan of the game. “Come on, dude, let’s see what you’re made of!”

Sonic arrived outside the hideout of his Uncle Chuck. He looked around, making sure he wasn’t seen. Things looked quite and normal, for Robotropolis at least, but he wasn’t planning on hanging around outside too long. Sonic knocked on the entrance of Chuck’s hideout. “Yo, Unc.” Sonic whispered out. “Open up.”

The door opened a slight jar, and Sonic pushed it all the way, entering the hideout before shutting the door behind him.

“Nice to see you, sonny boy.” Chuck hugged his nephew. Sonic hadn’t gotten the chance see Chuck since the Transformers arrived. They had talked, but not visited.

“Same here, Unc. I’ve missed ya, but things have been pretty big.”

“I know, Sonic. Robotnik and those Decepticons are planning something.” Chuck switched on one of his many computers and logged onto some of Robotnik’s files he had saved. “I haven’t been able to break the system fully and all I got were corrupted files, but I was able to get enough to find out that they are planning to upgrade the SwatBots somehow.”

“Somehow in what way?” Sonic asked.

“I’m not sure. But it’s got me in trouble. They’ve put in new security systems, and they know there’s a spy somewhere. Luckily they haven’t located me yet.”

“You gotta bail out from here, Unc. If they know you’re out here, they’ll find you sooner or later.” Sonic put his hand on Chuck’s shoulder. “Come on, Unc. Come back to base with me. I’d rather have you safe then risking your neck spying for us, now that they can find you easily.”

There was a moment of silence. “I know, Sonny. But without information, you’ll all be blind in the city. You’ll still need me here, at least for a while.” Chuck switched the computer off. “Oh yes, I got that message from Sally. And you’re in luck. I’ve got all the pieces needed. Pretty lucky I actually had all the pieces here. I had to gut some of my computers to get the parts, but their all here.” Chuck got up and obtained the pieces from a nearby table.”

“Way past cool, Unc!”

“There’s a slight problem though. I took them from burned out machines, so some of them will be need some repair work. But that shouldn’t be too much of a problem with Rotor on the job.” Chuck placed the parts into Sonic’s backpack and sealed it up. “Well, you better make your way back. I’m expecting Sally and the others need these parts.”

“Stay cool Unc. I’ll make sure to stop by soon.”

“Just be careful out there, Sonny. Robotnik’s got a patrol out of those BattleBots. Remember the last time you ran into those?”

“Be cool. I’ll be over the wall before you can say “Robuttnik should lay off the fatty foods.” See ya around, Unc.” Sonic left the hideout.

Outside, it was still the same old. A patrol sweeping the city, but nothing else. Sonic had made it half way back to the wall. He looked around a corner and saw several BattleBots down the far end of the long street. “Better not go that way.”

Sonic looked back and saw something slightly worse. “Errrr…”

Three BattleBots were behind Sonic, with weapons fully primed and aimed directly at him. “Priority One Hedgehog. You will surrender and obey our commands.”

“Uh-huh…” Sonic scratched his head. “Good idea junk bucket. Just one tiny problem.” Sonic quickly ran down the street. The three Battleots started blasting at him.

Robotnik was watching it on a camera. “Attention all units. Hedgehog in the city. Don’t let him get away and don’t kill him. I want him alive. Injured if necessary, but alive.” He reported at every single SwatBot, BattleBot and TargetBot.

“I suggest you allow some of my troops out to help, Doctor.” Galvatron asked.

“No. I want to see how well the Hedgehog can cope against a whole army of my Bots.” Robotnik turned to the Commander TargetBot

Sonic ran down street after street, trying to lose the pursuing machines, but the longer he tried, the more would chase. “Aww hell. Why did Buttnik have to make these things almost as fast as me! I don’t even have a power ring to get outta here.”

“Surrender now.” One of the machines called out. “This is your final warning.”

“Crap. I didn’t wanna have too, but…” Sonic pressed the button on his wrist communicator, sending a signal to the Autobot forces outside the city. “If I don’t lose these things, I’m gonna be road-kill!”

“Ha!” Wreckage laughed out. “42 power points on my ‘Sky Garry’ card. Beat that.”

Ricochet grunted. “Damn scrap head.” But then he smiled and pulled out a card, waving it in front of Wreckage. “Luck for me I have a ‘Star Convoy’ at 88 power points.”

“You suck! 88 power points against my 42! Gimme a chance!”

“Save it nerds.” Rapid-fire said at the squabbling duo. “Sonic needs us!” He and Burn-Up changed forms.

Ricochet swiped the ‘Sky Garry’ card from Wreckage “I’ll be taking that!” He said as he switched from robot to Cybertronian sports car.

“We’ll finish this when we get back to base!” Wreckage yelled as Ricochet speeded off. “Don’t think you’ve beaten me just yet!” And finally, he too swapped between modes as the four Autobots raced off to aid Sonic.

“Where are those guys!” Sonic thought to himself. Now he had at least 15, maybe 20 BattleBots chasing after him. He dare not leave the city in case they’d go after him.

One of the BattleBots fired and hit Sonic on his left arm. The blast sliced in deep, causing blood to flow from it. Sonic yelled out in pain, but carried on running. He turned a corner but tripped over a scrap piece of metal throw at him by the Commander TargetBot. There were another six TargetBots along side the Commander. All the BattleBots arrived. “The first four of you will remain.” The Commander instructed. “The rest of you will continue to patrol the city.” The other BattleBots left the vicinity and carried on with their patrol. “Priority One Hedgehog has been captured, Lord Robotnik. Proceeding to take him to the Roboticier.”

Sonic grunted in pain as he looked up. He was surrounded and a weapon pointing at him in every direction. Looks like the Autobots wouldn’t make it in time. “Priority One Hedgehog, you will hold out your hands.” The Commander held a pair of handcuffs. “If you resist, you will be injured further.”

“Not going to kill me, huh?” Sonic looked up at it.

“Priority One Hedgehog, you will hold out your hands.”

Sonic looked shocked and mocked it the machine. “You can repeat yourself too!”

“If you resist, you will…” Suddenly, the Commander TargetBot was swept up from the ground and into the air suddenly. The Commander TargetBot looked over its shoulder to see him being carried by a red Dragon.

“Big Red! All right, my man!” Sonic shouted at the Dragon, and old friend by the name of Kaige.

Commander looked at Kaige. “Priority Six Dragon. You are under arrest. You will surrender and release me at once.”

“Whatever you say!” Kaige used all his strength and threw the TargetBot in a nearby building. The TargetBot smashed through the wall, making a huge hole and rubble fly in all direction.

“Sir” Sinvely looked over to the dictator of the planet. “We’ve lost contact with the Commander TargetBot.”

“What! Give me visual, now!”

“Negative, sir. No Spy-Orbs are in the area.”

Robotnik slammed his control unit located on the side of his chair. “Then send one out there, now!”

Assessing the new threat at hand, the BattleBots and TargetBots aimed their weaponry high and fired at Kaige, but with his skill at flying he dodged every shot they threw at him.

Noticing that none of the Bots were watching him, Sonic decided now would be a perfect time to strike. He leapt at one of the nearby TargetBots and performed his ‘Super Sonic Spin’ attack, striking the machine in his faceplate. Sparks flew in all directions and the machine staggered back. “Alert, alert. Under attack. Assistance requi...” Breaking the Bots CPU located in the head, the machine shutdown and fell to the ground.

The other Bots now turned attention to Sonic. However, there was a logic problem. They were programmed to act against the greatest threat, but seeing as they could not calculate quick enough which of the two were more of a threat. Both had to be taken out, but which would be decided first.

Kaige flew in low, pulling his fist back and struck one of the BattleBots, again, in the faceplate. The force sent the machine staggering back slightly and Kaige quickly snatched the machine by a leg. “Batter up!” Kaige said, using all of his strength swung the BattleBot around in a circle, striking three of the others and causing his “bat” to lose an arm in the process.

Two TargetBots had finally calculated that Sonic should be dealt with, being the most dangerous and top priority. They trained their firearms at the Hedgehog. “Surrender, or we will open fire.”

Sonic looked left and right. Noticing that both the TargetBots were opposite each other and he grinned. “I’ll surrender… When Robotnik comes flying outta my butt!”

The weapons charged up and fired, Sonic quickly zipped out of the way in time and the machines attacked themselves, exploding in a blaze of glory and fire. “Big guns, small brains.”

The four Autobots speeded towards the city’s wall. There was no entrance in sight, and they had no time to look for one. “Wreckage!” Rapid Fire yelled “Make us a door!”

“You got it!” Wreckage turned his tank turret and aimed it directly at the wall and fired one of his high explosive rounds at the 10foot thick concrete wall. The aftermath was a nicely hole for them all to pass through. Except for Burn-Up, he shifted between modes and jumped the wall as the others passed through the hole. They travelled down the street with Rapid-fire in front leading the way.

“What was that?” Galvatron asked. He and probably the rest of the city had felt the slight tremor the explosion caused.

“Snively?” Robotnik said with a demanding tone.

The long nosed lackey switched on the monitors to the Spy-Orbs and located the large hole within the west side wall. “It appears to be a very large hole in the city wall.” Another monitor showed the four Autobots. “Sir, it appears as if we have some visitors.”

Galvatron looked at the monitor with anger. “Autobots.” He said with a cold, merciless tone.

“Come on, guys, readout says Sonic should just be around the corner. Let’s get him outta here before Galvatron sends us a little welcoming party!” Rapid-fire, Wreckage and Ricochet switched modes and ran for their destination.

“Never fear, Sonic!” Ricochet called out just before they turned the corner. “The Autobot cavalry is here!” They all ran around the corner pointing their weaponry at… Nothing.

Kaige and Sonic and had waste to all the TargetBots and BattleBots. The Hedgehog looked at the Autobots and smiled. “False alarm, guys.”

Kaige spotted the Autobots and snarled. “More of Robotnik’s handy work for me to total!” He brandished his sharp, long talons. “Size doesn’t matter to me!”

“Cool it, Big Red.” Sonic said, stopping the huge Dragon from attack the Autobots. “These bots are on our side.”

Burn-Up spotted a Spy-Orb and blasted at it. “See you got a friend.” Burn-Up placed his rifle away. “Well, I say we high tail it outta here before someone comes investigating.”

“Good call.” Sonic replied back. “Yo, Kaige, wanna check out the new pad?”

“Sure thing.”

“Just make sure you bring us one of those house warming gifts over there.” Sonic pointed at one of the destroyed TargetBots. He had a wild thought that this was the thing Uncle Chuck had mentioned earlier.

“Okay boys, transform and roll for home. Ricochet, you bring up the rear and make sure we’re not followed by anyone or anything that can spy on us.” Ricochet gave Rapid-fire the thumbs up of approval. “Wreckage, you provide us with another door. Best we don’t use the same one.” Wreckage nodded. All the Autobots transformed, and Kaige placed the dysfunctional TargetBot on top of Rapid-fire’s alternate mode. He then jumped onto the side of Rapid’s fire truck mode. “Let’s roll for it!”

“Now we’ve lost visual contact where ever they go, sir.” Snively said with a slight nervous look on his face.

“NO!” Galvatron smashed the small monitors with his fist. “I want them! NOW!””

“You’ll have your moment Galvatron. This is simply a small victory for them, which will not do much to us in defeating them. Another time will come. After all, why have four low rank Autobots, when you can go for so much more like a bigger prize? A powerful Autobot warrior? Or even the Matrix?” Robotnik sat there, drumming his fingers on his chair. “Allow them this victory. For we shall have them soon.”

Soundwave entered the room, carrying his ‘pet’, Ratbat on his arm. “Lord Galvatron. Ratbat has returned with information on the location of one of the resistance groups. Ratbat also informs that the group’s hideout is being guarded by the Dinobots.”

“The Dinobots?” Galvatron took it in with delight. “Yes. To defeat them would be a excellent victory for the Decepticons.”

Robotnik grinned, tapping his fingers together. “As I said. You’ll have your moment.”
