He's looking into her eyes, and he realizes he's never really done that before, in all the time they've been together, and all the time he's known her, because he had always been afraid he would get lost in them. Her eyes are a dark brown of bitter chocolate, though if she was chocolate, she could never be the bitter kind. She'd be the sweetest milk chocolate that melts in your mouth and leaves you closing your eyes in delight, or maybe the cookies and cream chocolate with bits of cookies in it- always surprising, always joyful, always tasty. But she's not chocolate, and he's glad, because chocolate is something that disappears- you eat it, or it melts, and he's just die if Parvati somehow melted away.

Of course it could happen. She could decide she didn't want to be with him just as quickly and as suddently as she decided she liked him and wanted to be with him. And he's never again feel her hand in his or her sweet sweet kisses or see hear amazin smile or hear her beautiful voice... and even though he's a Longbottom, and Longbottoms are supposed to be tough, he knows he just wouldn't be able to handle that. And he'd cry, even though guys aren't supposed to.

But for now, he's not crying. He's laughing and he's smiling and he's the happiest he's ever been. Because Parvati kisses him and then pulls away and smiles at him, and how can he not smile back, after a kiss like that, and her eyes smiling back at him.
